Objective: To investigate the expression change of melatonin (melatonin,MLT) on LDH、CK-MB and Na+-K+-ATPase of the chronic intermittent hypoxiacardiac muscular tissues of SD rats, and to study the protective functions ofMLT in the atmospheric pressure expecting to find a good way to guide theprevention and treatment of the body from the damages caused by obstructivesleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS). And also it may be important to thedevelopment of new drugs.Methods: The24only5-week old male SD rats were randomly divided intothree groups by random number method: the unhandled control group(UCgroup), the chronic intermittent hypoxia group A(CIHA group)and the chronicintermittent hypoxia group B(CIHB group)with8rats in each group. Rats in the control group rats were normally fed under normobaric oxygen (NBO) and weredrenched with normal saline solution (NS) by1mg/kg from8:00a.m. till10:00a.m. and then were sent to the darkroom of NBO (the volume fraction of O2is0.21) from10:00a.m. till18:00p.m. every day to fast; while rats in CIHA groupof the experiment were drenched with melatonin (MLT) by1mg/kg from8:00a.m. till10:00a.m., and then were sent to the hypoxia darkroom (the volumefraction of O2is fluctuates between0.08and0.21) from10:00a.m. till18:00p.m.everyday have a fast; and rats in the CIHB group were fed with NS by1mg/kgfrom8:00a.m. till10:00a.m. and were then sent to the hypoxia darkroom (thevolume fraction of O2is fluctuates between0.08and0.21) from10:00a.m.till18:00p.m. everyday to have a fast. After8weeks, all rats in the three groupswere anesthetized with10%chloral hydrate NBO, the lactic acid dehydrogenase(LDH)、the Creatine kinase isoenzyme(CK-MB)capacity and Na+-K+-ATPaseactivity of each rat were detected, take the right ventricle for pathologicalsection.Results:①The comparison of CIHB group and CIHA group: the lactic aciddehydrogenase(LDH)and the Creatine kinase isoenzyme (CK-MB) capacityof CIHB group increase (P<0.05),the Na+-K+-ATPase activity of CIHB groupdecrease (P<0.05). pathological section, Individual myocardial cell nucleidisappear, Myocardial cell hypertrophy, and there are a large number of bleedingbetween myocardial.②The comparison of CIHA group and UC group: The above indicators had no obvious difference (P>0.05). pathological section, thereare a small amount of bleeding between myocardial.③The comparison of CIHBgroup and UC group: the lactic acid dehydrogenase(LDH)and the Creatinekinase isoenzyme (CK-MB)capacity of CIHB group increase (P<0.05),theNa+-K+-ATPase activity of CIHB group decrease (P<0.05). pathological section,Individual myocardial cell nuclei disappear, Myocardial cell hypertrophy, andthere are a large number of bleeding between myocardial. Conclusion:melatonin(MLT) can protect rats’ cardiac muscular tissue from the injury ofchronic intermittent hypoxia.Conclusion: Chronic intermittent hypoxia could damage SD rats’ cardiacmuscular tissues, while MLT can protect rats’ cardiac muscular tissues from theinjury caused by the chronic intermittent hypoxia of OSAHS.
