ObjectiveTo built the content about nursing research ability for our Chinese clinical nurses and evaluation,inorder to enrich scientific knowledge of clinical nurses and improve clinical nurses nursing research leveland the quality of care,then provide a theoretical basis for the development of nursing research,and furtherpromote the development of nursing disciplines.Methods1. By the Delphi method,20experts from clinical care, nursing management, and nursing education,were letter consultation by the purpose of sampling method. Expert advisory letter questionnaires wasdeveloped through literature review, theoretical analysis, expert interviews form, including a description,questionnaires and expert general information questionnaire three parts, attached to the letter of inquiryresearch expert judgment based on familiarity and so on. The importance of the entries were judged andassignment was made according to Likert5level scroe, meanwhile inaccurate description of the trainingplaces to be modified and supplemented, then ultimately determine the ability of clinical research nursetraining system and its index weight.2. Self-control evaluation studies of the questionnaire survey.220clinical nurses from a tertiary levelhospital in Beijing, were received clinical nurse research knowledge training, including theoretical learningand practice exercise in two parts. Before and after the intervention, the clinical research knowledge leveland confidence of nurses were evaluated. All subjects were filling out the questionnaire under the unifiedguidance language. The questionnaire includes general information study, nursing research capacityself-rating scale designed by Pan Yinhe of Shanxi Medical University and clinical nurses’ attitude ofparticipating in the research training. The results were analyzed by statistical software SPSS17.0, includingdescriptive analysis, ANOVA, t test,2test, rank sum test.Results1. Knowledge of clinical research nurse training content was constructed and consists of totally8-levelindicators, including the choice issue, literature review, research design, research and practice, data processing, statistical analysis, essay writing, practical exercises, and also56secondary indicators. Inaddition, the weight of each index and coefficient of variation was determined.2. The difference of clinical research nurse competent confidence before and after training wasstatistically significant (P <0.001); Pre-training evaluation of clinical nurse research capability checklistaverage score was101.84±9.525, after training for106.41±8.625, score difference was statisticallysignificant (P <0.001); Evaluation stage clinical nurse research capacity self-assessment scores of ANOVAshowed that score differences of age, nursing age, educational background, job title, duties werestatistically significant (P <0.001), no statistical difference in the gender score significance (P=0.970).3. Needs of clinical nurse nursing research ability training was different. For example,97%of theclinical research nurse deemed necessary knowledge and training, due to busy with work and unable toattend the training accounted for79.5%,89%expect clinical nurse training a month or three months, due tothe need for training for promotion (78%), while because of the need in work to participate in trainingaccounted for13.5%.Conclusions1. The nursing research ability training was believed to improve the level of knowledge of clinicalnursing research, increase the confidence of the clinical nurses to qualified research activities.2. Nursing research ability training was very needed for clinical nurses, but the training mode shouldbe further improved.
