Qishenyiqi Diwan Effect Cardiac Function And Inflammatory Factors At Elderly Patients With Chronic Heart Failure

Objective:To assess the cardiac function and inflammatory factors effects of Qishenyiqi Diwan in elderly patients with chronic heart failure.Methods:100cases of elderly patients with chronic congestive heart failure (over65years) were randomly divided into Control Group and Treatment Group.Above all, control group was given conventional treatment of heart failure drugs (digitalis,diuretics,vasodilators,ACEI and other drugs).And except for conventional treatment,Treatment Group was added Qishenyiqi drop pills,0.5g, tid, for12weeks.Clinical efficacy were observed before and after treatment,and left ventricular systolic diameter (LVESD), left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and N-terminal pro-Brain Natriuretic Peptide(NT-proBNP) level and6minutes walking distance. And serum transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β), tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) and interleukin (IL-6) levels were measured before and after treatment.Results:(1) After12weeks of treatment, the LVEDD and LVESD value of both groups had reduced,but LVEF values of both were increased.NT-proBNP levels and6minutes walking distance were significantly improved (P<0.05), and more improvement in the treatment group than the control group (P<0.05);(2) Compared with the conventional treatment group, the levels of inflammatory factors TGF-β, TNF-a and IL-6levels with Qishenfukang Yiqi Diwanr treatment were further reduced.Conclusion:Qishenyiqi drop pills can further improve cardiac function at elderly patients with CHF and the clinical efficacy. It can reduce serum TGF-β, TNF-α, IL-6levels,and its possible mechanism has close links with the function that Qishenyiqi drop pills can involve to inhibit inflammatory factors.
