Objective:To evaluate clinical efficacy and safety of Shenqi Decotion in treating moderate or severe Chronic Atrophic Gastritis(CAG) with moderate or severe Intestinal Metaplasia(IM). Objective to provide theoretical foundation for the treatment of moderate or severe CAG with IM.Methods:Collect outpatients have moderate or severe CAG with moderate or severe IM, can also with intraepithelial neoplasia(IN),who in line with the diagnostic, inclusion and exclusion criteria. There were60patients meet the conditions. Patients were treated with Chinese medicine Shenqi Decotion. One dose daily, each200ml in the morning and evening.3months for a course of treatment, and successive for2courses. We observed and recorded the changes of the symptoms, atrophy of gastric mucosa, IM and IN. Statistical analysis were made based on these data.Results:After treatment the clinical symptoms were obviously improved.Results show there were significant differences of integral comparison of symptoms(P<0.01), with the total effective rate was93.33%. The improvement of atrophy of gastric mucosa and IM has obviously statistic significant(P<0.01). IN has no statistic significant. The pathological effective rate was68.33%. No significant adverse events and safety issues during the course of treatment.Conclusions:Shenqi Decotion has very good efficacy in treating moderate or severe CAG with moderate or severe IM. It improves clinical symptoms and pathological changes,blocks the development of precancerous lesions of gastric cancer. Shenqi Decotion is safe and effective.
