| Objective To analyze the pattern of antibiotic use and antibioticresistance tendency of gastrointestinal surgery in a tertiary children’s hospital. Methods Detailed morbidity, entity, bacteria, complication, antibiotic utilization in hospitalized patients is retrospectively reviewed using the hospital medical records from Jan.2010to Dec.2012.Results There were2625patients with infections, which accounted for27.52%of all the hospitalized patients of gastrointestinal surgery. The resistant rate was15.70%.The percentages of the top five disease category were:appendicitis accounting for40.81%,perianal abscess accounting for21.53%,periappendiceal abscess accounting for9.28%,necrotizing enterocolitis accounting for3.73%,omphalitis accounting for2.93%. The top three pathogen were:Escherichia coli,Klebsiella pneumoniae subsp,Staphylococcus aureus respectively.255multi-resistant bacteria of the superficial infection patients were isolated,and157of the invasive infection patients.49multi-resistant infections were cured by first or second generation of cephalosporins and penicill inase-fast penicillin,and346were cured by third or forth generationof cephalosporins and penicillinase-fast penicillin,and17were curedby carbapenem or vancomycin. No dead or multi-resistant hospital infectious case was reviewed.Conclusion1.The resistant rates were84.3%,and sensitive bacteria infection was the main characteristics.2.To aware the clinical characteristics and drug sensitive test was conductive to the reasonable useof antibiotics of severe infections. The superficial sensitive infectionstended to use non-restricted antibiotics. The superficial resistant infections or invasive non-resistant infections tended to use restricted antibiotics. The invasive resistant or multi-resistant infections tended to usespecial antibiotics. |
