ObjectiveTo analyze the prevalence and disease-related factors ofgastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in patients who are sufferingfrom primary hypertension and long-term use of calcium channel blockers(CCB).MethodsDuring Feb2013to Jun2013, we conducted a RDQ inquiry inprimary hypertension outpatients and inpatients. According to whether takeCCB, they were divided into two groups. We considered those showing aRDQ score of12or higher as having GORD. The clinical variables wesurveyed to investigate their association with the onset of GERD, whichincluded name, gender, age, height, weight, history of hypertension, historyof CCB, hyperlipemia, diabetes mellitus, symptoms of GERD.ResultsWe analyzed499subjects,393patients were included in CCB group, and the prevalence of GERD was17.56%; then106cases were included in non-CCB group, the prevalence of GERD was9.4%. GERD in CCB groupwas positively correlated with age, gender, BMI, sick time, use age of CCB,hyperlipdemia. It was negatively correlated with total treatment time andType2diabetes mellitus.ConclusionsThe prevalence of GERD in hypertensives with long-term use ofCCB was obviously higher than that taking other antihypertensive drugs. The time of taking CCB, BMI, blood lipid level are the direct risk factors forGERD. |
