Polymorphism oftheir P-selectin genes-2123G/C,-1969G/A and-1817T/C was detected byPCR-RELP. CHD patients were further divided into angina pectorisgroup,myocardial infarction group and ischemic heart failure group. Differencein polymorphism of P-selectin genes-2123G/C,-1969G/A and-1817T/C wasobserved in different types of CHD. Results1ã€The P-selectin gene-2123G/C polymorphism were significantly differentbetween CHD group and controls(x2=6.124,P=0.047ï¼›x2=7.355, P=0.008). Butthe distributions of P-selectin gene-1817T/C and-1969G/A polymorphism hadno difference between CHD group and controls(P>0.05).2ã€The P-selectin genes-2123G/C,-1969G/A and-1817T/C polymorphismwas in strong linkage disequilibrium with each other.Major GGT haplotypeaccounted for60.5%and64.5%of these eight haplotypes in both the cases andthe controls, respectively. By haplotype analyses, there were no significantdifferences in the haplotype frequencies of the P-selectin gene between the twostudy groups(P>0.05).3ã€P-selectin-2123G/C genotypes and alleles were significantly higher inmyocardial infarction group and ischemic heart failure group than in controlgroup(x2=6.473, P=0.039; x2=13.944, P=0.001),but there were not differencebetween ischemic angina pectoris and controls(P>0.05).The distributions ofP-selectin gene-1817T/C and-1969G/A polymorphism had no differencebetween different types of coronary heart disease and controls (P>0.05).Conclusion1ã€P-selectin gene-2123G/C polymorphism was associated with CHD,and-2123C allele is an important genetic susceptibility gene for CHD.2ã€The P-selectin gene-2123G/C polymorphism were significantly differentbetween different types of CHD and controls,so the P-selectin gene-2123G/Cpolymorphism may be associated with the severity of CHD. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | P-selectin, coronary heart disease, polymorphism, genotype, haplotype | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
