Objective:To summarize the clinical and pathological characteristics of squamous cell carcinoma(SCC) of the renal pelvis. The risk factors influencing the prognosis of SCC of the renal pelvis was analysed by anthropometry indicators and clinical history data. We compare various factors of SCC patients on the metastasis, recurrence and survival time, for finding a way to develop the treatment,Methods:To analyse retrospectively the37clinic data of SCC patients who were treated in xiangya hospital and xiangya2nd hospital over the past20years. Frequency and percentage are used in. the description of the basic information data, while COX regression model is used to calculate the factors affecting the risk of SCC of renal pelvis survival. And Kaplan Meier method as well as Long-rank test are used to calculate the differences in survival time and survival rate between different clinic treatment, and different T, N stages of tumor and so on.Results:(1) In37patients with SCC of renal pelvis, the average age was61.0+/-8.3years, height, body mass index (BMI) with a mean of19.9+/-2.2kg/m2, with low degree of culture, low-income, mostly in the weak region based health care facility, and men more than women;(2)Among all the research object,31cases have hydronephrosis, and (or) pyonephrosis and (or) nephritis,83.8%of the selected cases.29cases have renal calculus,78.3%of the selected cases.25patients with multiple risk factors mentioned above;(3) According to Cox regression model on the single factor analysis of influence factors on prognosis of tumor, T stage (P=0.004), N stage (P=0.01), the degree of tumor differentiation (P=0.01) and the diagnosis time (P=0.004) are useful, stepwise screening model of multi-factor analysis results for tumor T stage is an independent predictor of prognosis (P=0.004).(4) tumor T stage, N stage and the degree of tumor differentiation are regarded reliability index of the postoperative survival of patients. With the same tumor T stage, N stage and the degree of tumor differentiation, no matter radical nephrectomy or radical nephroureterectomy (P=0.274) or postoperative treatment (P=0.427)is used, survival has no obvious statistic difference.Conclusion:(1) in patients of SCC of renal pelvis, males of age50or more, with lower education background, low income, weak basic health care facilities are common (2) renal calculus, hydronephrosis, and (or) pyonephrosis and (or) nephritis tend to accompany with SCC of renal pelvis,(3) T and N stage of tumor, tumor differentiation degree can infect the prognosis(4) tumor T stage, N stage are regarded reliability index of the postoperative survival of patients. With the same tumor T\N stage\tumor differentiation degree, no matter radical nephrectomy or radical nephroureterectomy or postoperative treatment is used, survival has no obvious statistic difference...
