Objective:To investigate the levels of serum adiponectin and the relationships between serum adiponectin, inflammatory factors and8-IsoprostaglandinF2a in patients with AECOPD. Methods:62patients with AECOPD and62healthy control subjects were selected. Body height, weight, blood pressure and lung function parameters were measured. Biochemical assay was used to determine the levels of serum FBG, TC, TG and CRP. The levels of serum adiponectin, IL-8and8-iso-PGF2α were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results:(1) Compared with the normal control(NC) group, the levels of serum adiponectin, CRP, IL-8and8-iso-PGF2α were significantly higher in patients with AECOPD (all P<0.01).(2) Serum adiponectin levels were positively correlated with CRP, IL-8and8-iso-PGF2α in patience with AECOPD (all P<0.01). The levels of8-iso-PGF2awere positively correlated with CRP, IL-8in patients with AECOPD (all P<0.01).(3) The results showed that BMI, IL-8,8-iso-PGF2α, FBG were the independent related factors for adiponectin by multiple linear regression analysis in patients with AECOPD.(4) The results showed that BMI, IL-8and8-iso-PGF2a had the dose-response relationships with adiponectin by trend analysis in patients with AECOPD. Conclusions:(1) The levels of serum adiponectin were elevated in patients with AECOPD.(2) The levels of serum adiponectin, inflammatory factors and8-iso-PGF2a were elevated in patients with AECOPD, suggesting that adiponectin may involved in the inflammatory response and oxidative stress processes of AECOPD.
