Compilation And Application Of The Scale For Nurses’ Capability Assessment In Nuclear Emergency Rescue

Objective1. To develop a Scale for nurses’ capability assessment in nuclear emergency rescue.2. To examine the reliability and validity of the scale.3. To investigate the situation of nurses’ capability assessment in nuclear emergencyrescue.Methods:Collect the scale item pool by experts interviewing and documents checking toform a initial scale. Then an examinable version of scale is formed after themodification according to the suggestions made by experts review. We confirmed thepractical scale version after investigated330nurses from Hengyang Tertiary Hospital,and filtrated the clauses and subclauses by item analysis, related analysis andexploratory factor analysis. To ensure the quality of scale, we investigated558nursesfrom Hengyang Tertiary Hospital, evaluated the construct validity of the scale byconfirmatory factor analysis, evaluated the content validity of the scale by controllingscaling process, evaluated the credibility of the scale by coefficient of internalconsistency α, split-half reliability and test-retest reliability. The questionnaire wasconducted data analysis by adopting spss21.0and AMOS20.0statistical software.Results:1. Nurse nuclear emergency rescue ability scale composed of8dimensionality and63clauses and subclauses.8dimensionality are as follow: communication support,clinical nursing intervention, effective use of materials, emergency nursing scare,rational thoughts, emergency management, mental rescue and basic knowledge ofnuclear radiation.2. Reliability test: general coefficient of internal consistency of the scale is0.966, andthe consistency coefficient of every dimensionality is ranging from0.731to0.864,and the split-half reliability of every dimensionality is ranging from0.623to0.864; the overall test-retest reliability of the scale if0.992. Those all suggest that the scalehas a very good liability.3. Validity test:9factor variance accumulating contribution rate of the exploratoryfactor analysis is63.095%and the verify factor analyzed that the index χ2、df、χ2/df、NFI、IFI、TLI、CFI、RMSEA、SRMR、PNFI、PCFI are in an acceptable range.4. Scale applying process: most of the nurses got a very low score in the nuclearemergency rescue part. The discrepancy of the score in respect of different workingtime, title, position, educational back ground, administrative office and whether theyhad the training of nuclear knowledge and nuclear emergency rescue or not has astatistical significance （P<0.05）.Conclusion:In this parper preliminary authorized strength of nurses nuclear emergency rescueability scale,The scale can be divided into8dimensionality including63entries: mental communication, clinical nursing intervention, effective use of materials, emergency nursing scare, rational thoughts, emergency management, mental rescue and basicknowledge of nuclear radiation. Each index of scale have reached acceptable level after testing the reliability and validity of the scale.The capability of nurses nuclear emergency rescue at a low level, the dimensionality of basic knowledge of nuclear radiation at a low level. While the dimensionality of emergency nursing scare have high scores.The difference in working time, title, position, educational back ground, administrative office and whether they had the training of nuclear knowledge and nuclear emergency rescue or not are the essential factors of nurses nuclear emergency ability rescue skill.
