OBJECTIVE: To summarize the clinical characteristics, conclusionthe main points of diagnosis and treatment of annular pancreas in newborn.METHODS: The58cases of newborns with annular pancreas whowere diagnosed after operation were collected from2005.01.01to2013.02.28in our hospital, and were reviewed retrospectively to analyseand summarize the clinic characteristics.RESULTS:①The number of treated neonatal annular pancreas isapproximately increased annually,only3cases in2005,and rose to15in2012.The male patient is seeing more than female, the sex ratio of male:female=1.52:1.②Bilious vomiting is the most common symptoms of thedisease,52.08%children vomiting seriously after birth hours.③The annularpancreas often assosciated with other malformations (75.86%),congentalheart disease(88.73%) and digestive tract malformation(31.03%) are themost common malformation.④Finding the duodenum obstrction before theoperative, the postive rate of abdominal ultrasound, abdominal X-ral plainfilm and Upper gastrointestinal contrasting examination were58.14%,94.00%and100%(p<0.05),so plain film of abdomen and uppergastrointestinal radiography are the preferred auxiliary method forscreening annular pancreas.⑤The duodenal-duodenostomy is a classicsurgical treatment of annular pancreas, with less post operativecomplications(5.17%),high cure rate(98.28%). CONCLUSION:For newborns who vomiting seriously after birthhours, especially the vomitus containing bile, should be consider the annularpancreas, and do abdominal plain film and contrasting examination of uppergastrointestinal check to make clear up the degree of obstruction as early aspossible, and accept duodenal-duodenostomy treatment, the prognosis isgood.
