Objective:Through access to medical records retrospectively, recording a large area of burn patients shock fluid situation within48hours, combined with regional climate characteristics of Urumqi, compared to the Third Military Medical University formula, proposed suitable for the region’s anti-shock rehydration formula for clinical therapy a reference. Methods:25cases of severe burn patients (within8hours of admission, burn area more than50%TBSA, no special disease before injury) were in Urumqi General Hospital of Lanzhou military region in Department of burns and plastic surgery in January2000to December2013. Fluid resuscitation was initiated according to the Third Military Medical University formula. Recording the amount of crystal, colloid, water, total fluid and urine during the first24and the second24hours. SPSS17.0statistical Package was used for statistical analysis. Results:25cases of severe burn patients stabled through the shock stage, compared with the Third Military Medical University formula, there was a significant difference between the amount of fluid, the crystal (t=5.097, P<0.001), the colloids (t=3.833, P=0.01) the water (t=7.251, P<0.001), and total liquid (t=8.352, P<0.001) in the first24hour and crystal (t=7.137, P<0.001), the colloids (t=8.329, P<0.001), the water (t=7.251, P<0.001), and total liquid (t=10.159, P<0.001) in the second24hours. The first24hours averaged urine volume (t=-1.084, P=0.289), a second24hours averaged urine volume(t=1.823, P=0.081), there was no significant difference between in recommended amount of urine. Conclusions:The extensive burn patients of Urumqi in Xin Jiang, according to the Third Military Medical University formula for rehydration treatment, in the process of actual rehydration, the colloids, crystal, water and total liquid were larger than the formula calculation. In the region fluid therapy of burn patients should consider the local climate and emphasize the individual treatment.
