| Objective:To test the expression of IMP3in the invasive breast cancer and it’s differentmolecular types, analyze the relationship between IMP3and variousclinicopathological parameters and evaluate the prognostic value of IMP3in theinvasive breast cancer, further explore the associated factors of the breast cancer’sprognosis and the clinical value of IMP3in the treatment of breast cancer. Methods:Collecting the paraffin sliced specimens from the patients who had suffered theradical surgery in the breast surgical department of The First Affiliated Hospital ofJinan University from January2006to September2013. All of the patients, whoseclinical and pathological data are complete, are female. According to the inclusioncriteria formulated based on the experimental requirements, there are42cases ofparaffin sliced specimens of triple negative breast cancer, which were confirmed bypathology, and select68cases of paraffin sliced specimens of Non-triple negativebreast cancer from the same period randomly. Testing the expression of IMP3by thetwo-step immunohistochemical approach and following up the patients of the breastcancer.Results:1. The experimental results of110cases of invasive breast cancer tissue are asfollows(1) There are32cases expressing IMP3with a positive rate of29.1%. Theexpression of IMP3is related to ERã€PRã€histological gradeã€Ki-67and CK5/6(P<0.05). What’s more, IMP3is mostly expressed in those tumor cells withER-negative, PR-negative, highly histological grade, Ki-67highly expressed andCK5/6positive. Yet, the patients’ age, menopausal status, tumor size, the lymph nodemetastasis, the clinical stage, Her-2, tumor thrombus and P53have no significance forthe expression of IMP3(P>0.05).(2) The expression of IMP3in Luminal A, Luminal B, triple negative breast cancer and the Her-2over-expression type are8.7%(2/23),5.4%(2/37),64.3%(27/42)12.5%(1/8), which shows that the expression of IMP3in triple negativebreast cancer is obvious highly than other molecule types and the difference of theIMP3’s expression has statistically significant. It is definite by the application of thechi-square test(2=40.988,P=0.000). Using the Kruskal-Wallis test for thecorrelation analysis between the expressed level of the IMP3and different moleculartypes of breast cancer to find that IMP3expresses differently in various moleculartypes and closely related to triple negative breast cancer. In addition, the triplenegative breast cancers mostly express IMP3strongly(2=38.0,P=0.000).(3) The survival curves shows that the disease-free survival time of the groupwith IMP3positive is obviously less than the group with IMP3negative. The averagesurvival time of the group with IMP3positive is77.411±6.415months compared with91.441±2.210months of the group with IMP3negative. The difference between thetwo groups is statistically significant(2=7.151,P=0.007).(4) The tumor size, the lymph node metastasis and IMP3are independent factorsaffecting the OS. The risks of death are1.05,18.59and2.61times.Conclusion:(1) The expression of IMP3of the invasive breast cancer was positivelycorrelated to the ER negative, PR negative, highly histological grade, highlyexpression of Ki-67,and CK5/6positive. IMP3is highly and strongly expressed inthe triple negative breast cancer. The disease-free survival time of the group withIMP3positive is obviously less than the group with IMP3negative.(2) The tumor size, the lymph node metastasis and IMP3are independent factorsaffecting the OS. |
