Objective To investigate the expression of NIS and EGFR in triple negative breast cancer and their relationship with clinicopathological parameters, and predict therapeutic effects. Methods 360 patients with breast cancer after operation were collected from the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Technology and Science in 2009.1~2010.7. 50 cases of triple-negative breast cancer as the experimental group, and Randomly selected 50 cases of non-triple negative breast cancer and adjacent tissue of above 50 cases of the triple negative breast cancer as a control group, expression of NIS and EGFR was detected by SP immunohistochemical technique and investigate their clinicopathologic correlation.Results1. The positive rate of NIS was 68.0%(68/100)in all 100 cases of breast cancer. In triple negative breast cancer, its adjacent tissue and non-triple negative breast cancer, The positive rates of NIS were 64.0%(32/50),6.7 %(2/30)and 72.0%(34/50)respectively. In triple negative breast cancer, NIS positivity were higher than in non-triple negative breast cancer, there were showed no differences statistically(P>0.05);The positive rates of NIS in triple negative breast cancer group were higher than those its adjacent tissue group, there were showed differences significantly(P<0.05);The positive rates of NIS in non-triple negative breast cancer group were higher than those in adjacent tissue of above the triple negative breast cancer tissue group, there were showed differences statistically (P<0.05);There were not correlation between the expression of NIS and patient's age, menstrual status, tumor size, number of axillary lymph node metastasis, pathological type, clinical stage in triple negative breast cancer. The positive rates of NIS was inversely correlated with histological grade(P<0.05).2. The positive rate of EGFR was 56.0%(56/100)in all 100 cases of breast cancer. In triple negative breast cancer, its adjacent tissue and non-triple negative breast cancer, The positive rates of EGFR positive were 68.0%(34/50), 16.7%(5/30)and 44.0%(22/50)respectively. In triple negative breast cancer, EGFR positivity were higher than in non-triple negative breast cancer, there were showed differences statistically (P<0.05);The positive rates of EGFR in triple negative breast cancer group were higher than those its adjacent tissue group, there were showed differences significantly (P<0.05);The positive rates of EGFR in non-triple negative breast cancer group were higher than those in adjacent tissue of above the triple negative breast cancer tissue group, there were showed differences statistically (P<0.05); There were not correlation between the expression of EGFR and patient's age, menstrual status, tumor size, histological grade in all 100 cases of breast cancer. The positive rates of EGFR was positively correlated with the number of axillary lymph node and metastasis clinical stage (P<0.05).Conclusion1. The expression of NIS were strong in breast cancer. There were showed differences statistically between NIS positivity of triple negative breast cancer group and non-triple negative breast cancer group. The positive rates NIS was inversely correlated with histological grade.2. The expression of EGFR were strong in triple negative breast cancer, the positive rates of EGFR was positively correlated with the number of axillary lymph node and metastasis clinical stage.3. To suggest a potential role for NIS-directed 131I-radioablative strategies in breast cancer.4. EGFR can be a molecular target in TNBC.
