Objectives Compare acetabular transverse fractures reconstruction plates with lockingreconstruction bone plate biomechanical stability.Materials Take10adult specimens corrosion pelvis (8men,2women), aged20-50years, mean35years.Since the level of the fourth lumbar specimens and two thighs1/3at the junction of the transverse specimens,10specimens have complete pelvis, peel thesoft tissue attached to the pelvis and femoral shaft on, preserving the periosteum and theglenoid. With the naked eye observation and X-ray confirmed the specimen withoutfractures, lesions and anatomical variation of tuberculosis, rheumatism, cancer and so on.Type using Osteocore3-DEXA bone densitometer (Medink, Inc, FRA) bone mineraldensity measurements were not found osteoporosis, since the median sagittal plane sawthe sacrum and the pubic symphysis, after trimming, pelvic specimens was20, withformaldehyde solution soaked gauze stand. In the femoral head and neck junctiontruncated neck, connected to the transmission lever in favor loaded. Transverseacetabular osteotomy line from the midpoint of the fracture model is greater sciatic notchafter column acetabular roof, to uplift the midpoint of the anterior column iliopubicconnection. Along this line with a saw cut off acetabular roof, thereby producing atransverse acetabular fracture models, specimens were randomly divided into fourgroups. Each set of five specimens, A Group: reconstruction plates at each end of afixed three screws. Group B: reconstruction plates at each end and a fixed three screwsfrom the sides of the fracture line nearest the screw holes for each one. Group C: lockingreconstruction plates at each end of three single cortical screws D Group: lockingreconstruction plates at each end of three from a single cortical screws and screw holeson both sides of the fracture line nearest each a single cortical screwsMethods CSS-44020-type experiment in biomechanical testing machine(ChangchunInstitute of experimental aircraft) on the experiment, the experiment using a continuousaxial loading, loading speed of8mm/second, with a grating displacement sensor (Model:KG-101) was measured vertical displacement, load to maximum load recorded failure offixation. Repeat five times each specimen load, whichever is the mean. Acetabularfracture displacement standards under load acetabular articular surface vertical displacement>2.00mm as fixation failure criteria. SPSS17.0statistical package usingANOVA.Results Maximum load: A, B, C, D groups can withstand the maximum load,respectively:(180.60±11.781),(240.80±7.981),(243.80±11.755) N and (438.00±23.227) N, by the Bonferroni method two two comparison, except B, C two sets of datawas not statistically significant (P>0.05), the rest of the maximum load differencebetween groups was statistically significant (F=284.942, P=0.000). Where D is thegroup that is locked reconstruction plates at each end of three from a single corticalscrews and screw holes on both sides of the fracture line nearest each a single corticalscrew this group of maximum load max. Conclusions Transverse acetabular fracture fixation using steel plate behind theapproach, locking reconstruction plate fixation stability than reconstruction plates, andfrom both sides of the fracture line recently given screw fixation screws can enhan estability.
