ObjectiveTo explore the relationships between COPD assessment test score and right heartfunction in Patients with Acute Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(AECOPD).Methods124 patients with clinician-diagnosed acute exacerbation of COPD have prospectively studied,Final 62 matches were recruited.. Include Twenty-nine mild-to-moderate,thirty-two severe-to-very severe COPD patients and twenty control subjects.pulmonary artery pressure(Pulmonary artery pressure PAP), cardiac function of structural parameters(RA-V, RVD, d T, LA, LV), the effectiveness of cardiac function parameters(Tei, TAPSE, LVEF, SV) was measured and recorded by Tissue Doppler imaging(TDI), Pulmonary function, arterial blood gas, serum clusterin concentration and MRI volumes of hippocampus were evaluated in each subject. the concentrations of serum brain natriuretic peptide(Brain natriuretic peptide BNP) were assayed at the same time by human brain natriuretic peptide double antibody sandwich ELISA kit(enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, ELISA), while each subjects were complete measurement of CAT, lung function(FEV1 / FVC, FEV1, FVC), arterial blood gas(Pa CO2, Pa O2, Sa O2), statistical software for analysis. All of the subjects came from the Pulmonary Department, First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University,ResultsCAT score and pulmonary artery pressure(Pulmonary artery pressure PAP) in Mild-moderate, severe-very severe AECOPD group and AECOPD group have a significant positive correlation(r = 0.515, P <0.01,r = 0.734, P <0.01, r = 0.629, P<0.01). right ventricular structure parameters(RA-V, RVD, d T) in each group, showed mild- moderate AECOPD group(r = 0.444, P <0.05, r = 0.605, P <0.01, r =-0.528, P<0.001), severe-very severe AECOPD group(r = 0,358, P <0.05, r = 0.358, P <0.05, r= 0.386, P <0.05), AECOPD group( r =-0.193, P = NS, r = 0.530, P <0.01, r = 0.608,P <0.01). Analysis the relationgship of mild-moderate, severe-very severe AECOPD group and each group AECOPD group, fiding CAT score and right heart efficacy parameters(Tei indxt, tricuspid annulus systolic displacement TAPSE) have Statistically significant correlation.A positive correlation in CAT and Tei index(r =0,547, r = 0.458, r = 0.620), P <0.01; each group CAT score were negatively correlatedand with TAPSE(r =-0.413, P <0.05, r =-0.74, P <0.01, r =-0.671, P<0.01). Similarly,Left ventricular Structural parameters of each group like LAD,LVD, no correlation(P>0.05) between left ventricular efficiency parameters(LVEF,SV) and CAT score.ResultsAmong patients with acute exacerbation of COPD CAT score were found significantly correlated with right ventricular function parameters,However,no significant correlation with left ventricular function parameters, which may be used as an useful instrument to evaluate severity of right ventricular function following COPD exacerbations, thus expanding the scope of application of CAT in clinical practice.
