The Observation Of Bone Rheumatism Mixture In The Treatment Of Patients With Knee Osteoarthritis Clinical Curative Effect And Its Influence On The Articular Cartilage

Objective: Using the bone rheumatism mixture to treat patients with knee osteoarthritis, to observe its clinical curative effect and the thickness of articular cartilage changes before and after treatment. Methods: Using the Open grouping principles divide 30 patients who met the inclusion criteria into 2 groups, which is the traditional chinese medicine treatment group(Using the bone rheumatism mixture to treat) and the western medicine comparison group(Using the diacerein capsules to treat), selecting before the treatment begin, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks after treatment begin as the Observation nodes. Selecting the visual analogue scale/score, the western ontario and mcmaster universities osteoarthritis index, symptoms of traditional chinese medicine as the outcome measures. In addition, the two groups of patients must check theirs knees by MRI before and after treatment. Measuring the thickness of the knee joint cartilage by MRI examination before and after treatment, then comparing and analyzing the measured thickness articular cartilage before and after treatment. Results: The bone rheumatism mixture and the diacerein capsules are used to treat arthritis have obvious effect. In the aspect of efficient: the clinical control rate and appear effect rate of traditional chinese medicine treatment group is 86.67%, the total effective rate is 100%.The clinical control rate and appear effect rate of western medicine comparison group is 53.33%, the total effective rate is 100%.Both groups have the same total efficiency. After statistical tests, the difference is significant in terms of clinical control rate and appear effect rate,there is statistically significant(P <0.05), the treatment group is better than the control group.In the aspects of VAS scores:in the fourth week,the eighth week and the twelfth week, two group of patients′VAS scores comparison have significant difference(P <0.05). In the aspects of WOMAC scores: comparison between two group have no difference in fourth week and eighth week(P >0.05), comparison between two group has a very significant difference in twelfth week(P <0.05). In the aspects of TCM symptom scores: comparison between two group has a significant difference in fourth week(P <0.05), comparison between two group has a very significant difference in eighth week and twelfth week(P <0.01), comparison between two group in the aspect of pain has significant difference in twelfth week(P <0.05),comparison between two group in the aspects of tenderness, tinnitus lumbar debility, dim complexion, tongue have very significant difference in twelfth week(P <0.01),there are no difference in the aspects of limited function, swelling, dizziness, pulse condition(P >0.05). In the aspect of the thickness of articular cartilage: the two groups before and after treatment of articular cartilage thickness has no obvious change. Conclusion: Both bone rheumatism mixture and diacerein capsules can be obtained for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis obvious therapeutic effect. From the perspective on MRI, after 12 weeks of treatment by bone rheumatism mixture and diacerein capsules failed to make the patients with knee osteoarthritis of knee articular cartilage thickness change obviously. Although MRI is not found KOA patients of knee joint cartilage thickness have obvious change, but bone rheumatism mixture and diacerein capsules can control the related clinical symptoms of patients with knee osteoarthritis effectively, can improve the joint function. The function of bone rheumatism mixture and diacerein capsules are worthy to be affirmed. Compared to diacerein capsules bone rheumatism mixture general curative effect is superior,especially in the aspects of pain, tenderness, tinnitus lumbar debility, dim complexion, tongue,etc. Bone rheumatism mixture have more obvious advantages than diacerein capsules. And have the advantages of work fast,long duration and stable curative effect. Have the function of the body conditioning, comprehensive treatment, and with the extension of the duration of treatment, the advantage of bone rheumatism mixture is more prominent. From the perspective of the treatment of 12 weeks, we have not found the correlation between the improvement of KOA patients’ clinical symptoms,signs and the thickness of articular cartilage.
