ObjectiveTo investigate the TCM syndromes in endometrial polyps with extended menstruation and analyze the difference of distribution of the constitution characteristics, so as to find out the constitution with high risk of EP and extended menstruation, and the relationship between the distribution rules of the TCM syndromes, the relevant types and constitution, as well as to provide the instruction for TCM prevention and treatment of endometrial polyps with entended polyps.MethodsTo investigate the differences between the patients and the normal healthy females with analyzing the clinical data form, TCM syndromes observation form and TCM constitution form with statistical software SPSS17.0 to identify the TCM constitution types, as well as to investigate the difference of the distribution rules of the TCM syndromes and constitution between the patients and normal healthy females.Results1. In the statistic research, most patients live in Guang Dong, the eldest is 51 years old and the youngest is 23 years old. The average age is 35.88±7.302 years old. Most are between 30-39 years old. The history of abortion、 endometriosis、hysteromyoma、mammary gland fibroma, are high risk in suffering EP with extended menstruation.2. In TCM syndromes most are yang deficiency with blood stasis type,27 cases, take up 30%, the second is qi stagnation with blood stasis type,22 cases, take up 24.55%, the third is qi deficiency with blood stasis type,19 cases, take up 21.11%, the forth is damp-heat with blood stasis type,17 cases, take up 18.89%, the rest 5 cases are yin-deficiency with blood stasis type, take up 5.56%.3. Compared to distribution of EP with extended menstruation and normal healthy females, there is significant differences in yang-deficiency constitution, P=0.049(P<0.05); while the other 9 types of constitutions are no significant differences P>0.05. There are no significant differences in the TCM constitutions between the EP with extended menstrustion and control group, P=0.666 (P>0.05).4. The relationship between TCM syndromes and constitution, there is significant differences between qi deficiency constitution and qi deficiency with blood stasis type,P<0.001 (P>0.05),qi stagnation constitution and qi stagnation with blood stasis type, P=0.003 (P>0.05), and also damp-heat constitution and damp-heat with blood stasis type, P<0.001 (P>0.05). No significant differences in the other comparison.ConclusionIn this research, most suffer this disease are 30-39 years old. History of endometriosis、hysteromyoma、mammary gland fibroma、abortion, are high risk in EP with extended menstruation and also related to infertility. _Under the hysteroscopy, the endometrial polyps were mainly multiple polyps, and the size of<2cm. TCM syndromes could be identify as qi deficiency with blood stasis type、 qi stagnation with blood stasis type、damp-heat with blood stasis type、yang deficiency with blood stasis type、yin-deficiency with blood stasis type. The most is yang deficiency with blood stasis type. In the TCM constitution, yang-deficiency constitution is significant difference between the patient and normal healthy females, but no significant difference in overall status. For the TCM syndromes and constitution, there is relationship between qi deficiency constitution、qi stagnation constitution、damp-heat constitution.
