By analyzing the clinical data of thyroid microcarcinoma, and exploring the clinical features and clinical values of central neck lymph node dissection, references can be provided from these clinical diagnosis and treatment of thyroid microcarcinoma. This thesis is a retrospective analysis based on the clinical data of 117 cases of thyroid microcarcinoma that were treated by operations done by our hospital from the January of 2011 to the December of 2014.Results:Ⅰ.117 patients were treated by operation, including 33 cases of male,84 cases of female, and the ratio of male to female is 1:2.5;Ⅱ. In this study, either the overall incidence peak or the incidence peak among males and females is presented in an age span from 40 to 49; therefore the average age is above 40;Ⅲ. Near total resection in 68 cases, unilateral lobe and isthmus resection in 34 cases, and 15 cases of total thyroidectomy;Ⅳ. Fore neck dissection in 68 cases, VI District dissection in 33 cases, VI District and lateral neck dissection in 28 cases, and bilateral lateral neck dissection in 7 cases.Conclusions:Ⅰ. In recent years, the incidence of thyroid microcarcinoma rate shows an upward trend, and the incidence in female is significantly higher than the incidence in male.Ⅱ. Thyroid nodules with calcification has an important role in the diagnosis of thyroid cancer, therefore all the cases should be cured by operation.Ⅲ. The onset of occult thyroid microcarcinoma is so insidious that the diagnosis of which is difficult before surgery, then color Doppler ultrasound is the main method for the detection of preoperative diagnosis of thyroid microcarcinoma.Ⅳ. Because of a better prognosis, operation is the first choice in the treatment of thyroid microcarcinoma. The mode of operation and the age of patients are important influence factors of thyroid cancer recurrence.Ⅴ. Retaining with the parathyroid and laryngeal recurrent nerve, cases that thyroid microcarcinoma preoperative central neck ultrasonography in the diagnosis of lymph nodes suggest suspicious positive are routinely required central neck lymph node dissection. For the central lymph node negative ultrasonic tips, doctors can suggest that patients’prophylactic central neck lymph node dissection can be performed under the premise of patients with high risk factors and the concerns of the requirements of patients.
