The Lu’’s Moisturizing Dryness Decoction In The Treatment Of Cliobservation Of 66 Cases Of Primary Sj?gren’’s Syndrome

Objective: Inherits and conclude the academic though from professor Lu Zhi-zheng in treating the SS. Evaluating the curative effect and safeness of Runzao decoction in treating SS through reinforcing Qi and nourishing Yin, based on the experience from professor Lu Zhi-zheng.Methods: The research is designed by open experiment, itself before and after comparison which involved 66 patients who were diagnosed as PSS. The research will last three mouths and we will observe the dry mouth, dry eyes, fatigue et al via VAS evaluation. The manifestation of dry mouth, dry eyes, fatigue, dry nasopharynx, arthralgia, dry skin, frequent urination at night et al were evaluated by syndrome of traditional Chinese medicine. The assessment points were one, two, there and four month after taking the medicine. The test items of safeness such as blood routine, urine routine, stool routine, electrocardiogram, liver function(ALT, AST), kidney function(BUN,Cr) and the test items of curative effect such as antinuclear antibodies, anti-SSA, anti-SSB, ESR, RF, Ig G, serum protein electrophoresis(γ-globulin, α2-globulin, α1- globulin, β1-globulin, β2-globulin), the lacrymal flow rate, salivary flow rate were detected in the beginning and the end of the test respectively.Results:Firstly, the total effective rate of Chinese medicine in one month was 24.25%, in two month was 60.61% and it was 90.91% in there month.Secondly, according to the VAS evaluation, after treating three months, the curative effect rate in dry mouth, dry eyes, fatigue are 81.82%, 90.91% and 74.24%.Thirdly, the curative effect rate of Chinese manifestation: dry mouth, dry eyes, fatigue, dry nasopharynx, arthralgia, dry skin, frequent urination at night are 73.85%, 70.76%,63.34%, 86.67%, 84.90%, 80.39% and 76.31%.Fourth, saliva flow rate and the eyes tear flow rate has increased(p<0.01 or p<0.05). The level of Ig G, ESR, RF are decreased(p<0.01 or p<0.05). The improvements of anti-SSA, anti-SSB, ANA are unconspicuous, and the difference is not statistically significant. The difference of serum protein electro-phoresis(γ-globulin, α2-globulin, α1- globulin, β1-globulin, β2-globulin) is not statistically significant(p<0.01).Lastly, the test items of safeness including blood routine, urine routine, liver function(ALT, AST) and kidney function(BUN)are in normal except Cr.Conclusion: The treatment of Runzao decoction with PSS was safe and reliable, and its improvement was obvious in subjective symptoms, the evaluation of Chinese manifestation, lacrymal flow rate and salivary flow rate. It can decrease the level of Ig G. The effectiveness on other inflammation and immune indexes are not statistically significant.
