Objective This study uses Velocity vector imaging technology to estimate movement of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic mellitus patients with carotid artery wall in evaluation of normal person and the new diagnosis,The main purpose is to:Application of VVI technology to compare differences of normal people and newly diagnosed type 2diabetes mellitus patients with carotid artery wall motion,To evaluate new diagnostic status damaged vessel wall elasticity function of 2 diabetic mellitus patients with carotid atherosclerosis. Methods All subjects were divided into T2DM-1 group of thirty patients with IMT thicker,T2DM-2 group of thirty patients with normal IMT and the normal control group of thirty cases. Two-dimensional ultrasound images of the common carotid artery were obtained. The internal diameter,IMT and carotid atherosclerotic plaque during its expansion were measured. Then the peak systolic velocity(Vs),strain(Smax) and strain rate(SRmax) of the six segments of the common carotid artery wall(anterior wall, anterior posterolateral wall, internal wall, posterior wall, posterointernal wall and anterolateral wall) were analyzed quantitatively and compared mutually by VVI technique.Results1, The comparison of general data between groups: there were no statistically significant age, sex, blood pressure differences between groups(q control group vs.T2DM-1=1.027, q control group vs.T2DM-2=1.151, q T2DM-1vs.T2DM-2=1.087,P > 0.05); T2DM-1 group, T2DM-2 group, body mass index were significantly higher than those in control group(q control group, vs.T2DM-1=9.453, q control group vs.T2DM-2=7.564, P < 0.05), T2DM-1 group, T2DM-2 group between the body mass index was no significant difference(q =1.058, P > 0.05).2, Comparison of laboratory indicators: T2DM-1 group, T2DM-2 group, TC were significantly higher than those in control group(q control group, vs.T2DM-1=8.123, q control group vs.T2DM-2=4.357, P < 0.05); TC between T2DM-1 group and T2DM-2group showed no statistical significance(q=1.046, P > 0.05); there was no significant difference between the groups(LDL-C, MALB, q control group vs.T2DM-1=1.123, q control group vs.T2DM-2=1.357, q T2DM-1vs.T2DM-2=1.061, P > 0.05).3, Comparative morphological index of group conventional ultrasound observations of CCA between T2DM-1 group: IMT thickness was significantly higher than that of T2DM-2 group and the control group(q control group vs.T2DM-1=9.165,q T2DM-1vs.T2DM-2=5.861, P < 0.05); T2DM-2 group of IMT thickness and the control group had no statistical difference(q=1.066, P > 0.05); T2DM-1 group,T2DM-2 group and control group common carotid artery diameter values measured with no statistical difference(q control group vs.T2DM-1=1.065, q control group vs.T2DM-2=1.055, q T2DM-1vs.T2DM-2=1.161, P > 0.05).4, Comparison of VVI technical parameters: the Vmax between the two two groups in 6segments of carotid artery were compared with statistical significance(q control group vs.T2DM-2=7.753, q control group vs.T2DM-1=6.247, q T2DM-1vs.T2DM-2=7.042, P< 0.05); the Smax between the two two groups in 6 segments of carotid artery werecompared with statistical significance(q control group vs.T2DM-2=6.238, q control group vs.T2DM-1=7.545, q T2DM-1vs.T2DM-2=7.064, P < 0.05); the SRmax between the two two groups in 6 segments of carotid artery were compared with statistical significance(q control group vs.T2DM-2=5.345, q control group vs.T2DM-1=5.254,q T2DM-1vs.T2DM-2=6.069, P < 0.05)Conclusions1.The newly diagnosed T2 DM in patients with carotid artery without morphological change, the arterial elasticity has fallen, at this time should be further clinical intervention, prevention of atherosclerosis.2.VVI technology can accurately measure the carotid artery in patients with newly diagnosed T2 DM strain and strain rate, before morphological changes occurred in the carotid artery, suggesting that vascular function damage, has important clinical value for occurrence prediction and control of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events.3.Patients with newly diagnosed T2 DM with the thickness of IMT was higher than that of normal people.4.Patients with newly diagnosed T2 DM were overweight or obese, dyslipidemia incidence was higher than that of normal people.
