ObjectiveAs one of the osteoporosis fracture, female elder hip fracture on into the effective prediction and prevention of important clinical significance, the loss is one of the important factors of osteoporotic fractures occur,DXA measurement of bone mineral density is an important monitoring indicators. three-dimensional finite element analysis is a good material distribution, our previous studies have found that clinical bone mineral density and femur density of three dimensional finite element model with linear positive correlation, but the model of the femur and femoral neck area density difference between the rotor and the correlation of fracture has not been study, this paper discusses the femoral three-dimensional finite element model of regional differences in density could predict older women hip fracture.Methods1. Femoral proximal three-dimensional finite element model is set up clinical collected 16 cases of hip fracture patients, bilateral hip CT scan, obtain the DICOM format data, using Minics15.01 software through regional growth, cavity filling, editors covered,3d reconstruction function, meshing and material assignment steps to build three-dimensional finite element model of the contralateral proximal femur.2. Finite element model of proximal femur density analysis of definition of proximal femur finite element model of the femoral neck and the area between the rotor and partition;using Abaqus6.12 software loading and operation of proximal femur model, calculate the density of fracture and the fracture area, using SPSS17.0 software for statistical analysis, analysis of the fracture location and the relationship between bone mineral density, the size of each part of the body.Results1. Build 3d reconstruction by the software Mimics 15.01 with datas of femur CT, according to the grey value stratification bives ten kinds of material properties, built finite element model of proximal femur.2. Select 16 patients of average age was 78.56+/-6.14 years old, among which 82.25+/-3.85 years old femoral fractures between rotor and femoral neck fracture group 74.88+/-5.91 years old. there are 9 cases on the left side of the limb,7cases of the right limb.3. The area desinty of facture of femur trochanteric/femoral was 1.20+/-0.02 (×106), while the area density of the limbs without fracture was 1.22+/-0.03 (X 106),p=0.03, the difference is statistically significant. The established 16 the contrelateral proximal femur model,14 consistent with the actual fracture,1 case does not conform to,1 case cannot be predicted, the coincidence rate was 87.5%.7 models between the healthy side of femur trochanteric area density is lower than the femoral neck in the 8 cases of femur intertrochanteric fracture.7 of 8 patients with femoral neck fracture model, a model of the contralateral femoral neck area density is lower than trochanteric area density, a model of the contralateral femoral neck area density and area density is the same between the trochanteric.ConclusionRelatively low bone density of femur rotor area or femoral neck area are more likely to happen between corresponding parts type of hip fracture, the search for the cause of pip fracture site provides a new train of thought.
