Objective:To investigate the application value of three-dimensional power Doppler ultrasound (3D PDUS) in diagnosis of cervical lymph node metastases.Material and Methods:From Oct.2013 to May.2014, among the 71 patients, a total of 116 enlarged cervical lymph nodes underwent 3D PDUS and the blood flow distribution was observed. Vascular Flow Index (VFI) was measured and the receiver operating curve (ROC) was analyzed. The results were compared with the pathological findings. Results:After observed on 3D PDUS, all the cervical lymph nodes were operated and the results were compared with the pathological findings.67 metastasis lymph nodes showed peripheral (53.73%) or mixed irregular (32.84%) vascular type and the VFI was 4.781±3.000.49 reaction hyperplasia lymph nodes showed regular central vascular type (73.47%) or no blood flow (18.37%) and the VFI was 1.429±1.012. When the best cutoff of the evaluation of VFI was set at 2.652, the area under the curve (AUC) was 0.907, the sensitivity was 79.1% and the specificity was 87.8%.Conclusion:The three-dimensional power Doppler ultrasound had much higher application value in diagnosis of cervical lymph nodes metastases.
