ObjectiveTo investigate the qualification of diffierent clinical stages of hepatitis B virus(HBV) infection and the relationships of HBs Ag with serum HBV DNA、 liver biopsy and age.MethodsColected 246 patients serum samples from The Second Affiliated Anhui Medical Univrsity since 2012.1 to 2013.5 who were without accepting antiviral therapy, including: 41 cases with chronic HBV-carrier(ASC),99 cases with chronic hepatitis b patients(CHB), 70 cases with liver cirrhosis(LC), 36 patients with primary liver cancer(HCC). Serum HBs Ag was quantified using the Abbott ARCHITECT platform and HBV DNA by real-time fluorescence quatitative PCR method. Among the total patients there are 60 patients with liver piocologic examination on foot(among 43 cases with CHB,17 cases with LC).Results1.HBs Ag levels in groups of ASC,CHB,LC,HCC were135280.00(1788.80-518200.0)IU/ml,8218.00(1644.60-266700.80)IU/ml,1280.38(265.70-2375.00)IU/ml, 925.10(135.05-2381.8)IU/ml, After the logarithmic transformation, they were 5.13(3.25-4.71)lg IU/ml, 3.91(3.22-5.43)lg IU/ml, 3.11(2.42-3.38)lg IU/ml, 2.97(2.13-3.38)lg IU/ml respectively.Statistic difference was found among the three groups(χ2 = 52.262, P = 0.000).2.HBV DNA levels in groups of ASC,CHB,LC,HCC were respectively 6.43( 5.12-7.22) lg copies/ml,5.76( 3.92-7.27) lg copies/ml, 5.37(3.78-6.11) lg copies/ml,4.97(3.93-6.14)lg copies/ml, the difference among them were statistically significant(χ2= 12.811, P = 0.005).3.HBs Ag quantitation was positively correlated with HBV DNA levels, it’s(rs=0.448,P=0.000)in ASC groups(rs=0.608,P=0.000),CHB groups(rs = 0.473,P = 0.000),and the LC groups(rs = 0.257, P = 0.032),while unrelated in HCC group(rs = 0.332, P = 0.073).4. Non-correlations were found between HBs Ag quantitation with TB,ALT,AST or GGT,neither with the HBV DNA.5.Negative correlation was found between HBs Ag quantitation with age(rs =-3.43, P = 0.000),also with the HBV DNA(rs=-0.384,P=0.000)6.HBs Ag levels is not correlation with the liver inflamation(rs=-0.108,P=0.348),but negative correlation was found with liver fibrosis stage(rs=-0.286,P=0.011). Non-correlation was found with HBV DNA.ConclusionsHBs Ag level in serum decreased progressively from ASC to CHB to LC and HCC group, there were positive correlations between HBs Ag quantitation and HBV DNA levels. Negative correction was found between HBs Ag quantitation and age,and also with HBV DNA.
