Objective Hepatocarcinoma is one of common malignant tumor in our country, the occurrence and development of hepatocarcinoma largely depends on the blood supply of tumor and the different types of blood supply has important significance for diagnosis, treatment, efficacy and prognosis judgement of it. Trabscatheter arterial cheoembolizamtion(TACE) is an effective treatment confirmed by clinical. but simple TACE can not provide good effect to poor blood supply hepatocarcinoma and easy to cause postoperative liver function damage and other complication. Therefore, how to improve the curative effect of poor blood supply hepatocarcinoma has attentioned by clinical. This study aims to investigate the value of the combined treatment of transcatheter arterial chemoembnbolization(TACE) and radiofrequency ablation(RFA) for poor blood supply hepatocarcinoma. Methods 40 cases of poor blood supply large hepatocarcinoma(from October 2008 to July 2014) patients was divided into two groups: Combination therapy group(treated by TACE in combination with RFA, n=27) and Control group(treated by TACE alone, n=19). postoperative AFP, complete tumor necrosis rate, tumor shrink rate, tumor progression rate and postoperative liver function were detected in the two groups. Results Complete tumor necrosis rate, tumor shrink rate, tumor progression rate rates in 6 months after Interventional surgery of combination therapy group were 90.47 %, 71.43 % and 14.29 %, respectively. While in the control group, complete tumor necrosis rate, tumor shrink rate, tumor progression rate rates were 63.19 %, 36.84 % and 47.37 %. There were significant difference of these data between combination therapy group and control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion 1.Combination therapy of multipolar RFA and TACE maybe more efficiently to treat poor blood supply hepatocarcinoma than use TACE alone. 2.TACE combined with RFA therapy is safe and reliable.
