ObjectivesTo study the clinical effect and security of external humeral epicond-ylitis with air pressure ballistic shock wave by clinical randomized con trol, hope on the outside of the humerus condyle inflammation patients to provide a noninvasive, safe and effective treatment.Methods60 patients accord with standard of external humeral epicondylitis were divided into two groups, A group (treatment group) and B group (control group), each of them have 30 cases.The treatment group used the treatment of air pressure ballistic shock wave.The control group used Ultrasonic treatmen+Intermediate frequency electrotherapy. The treatmengt of A group is five days of time,5-10 minutes one time. A course is 5 times therapies. and B group, once the day of the patient be included in it, he need be treated, and also the next day, then 5 days a time. A course also 5 time therapies.Formulate unified observation form to assess the observations scale change of external humeral epicondylitis, the observations scale include the symptoms grading、visual analog score(VAS) and the instrument for measuring pain before the 1st treatment, after the 1/3th/5th treatment. At the same time, observe whether the patients appeared bleed, edema, dizziness headache, and other adverse reactions. After collecting the data, using SPAA Statistics20. to establish the database and then taking statistical analysis with it, Statistical test methods include t test, chi-square test and rank sum test and so on.Result1. The study included in 60 cases, of which the fall off in 3 cases, one from the treatment group, two from the control group, and 57 cases were done. The general information of two groups included:gender, age, course of the disease, and VAS, threshold value of pain and pain-tolerance at the Shousanli Point and the space between the Redial humeral joint and epicondyle of the humerus, the evaluation of symptoms grading of external humeral epicondylitis, There was no significant difference before treatment between the two groups(P>0.05). It was comparable.2. The total effect of two groups was both improved. And there was significant difference between two groups (P<0.05). The treatment group had a total in effective rate of 100.0% and better than the controlled group which total effective rate was 89.3%.3. The difference between After and before treatment was significant (P<0.05), in VAS of Anti pronation resistance test、Carpal stretch resistance test、Jib carpal stretch test, Pain threshol and Pain tolerance threshol of Shousanli Point. It shew that two kinds of interventions were effective.4. After the 1st treatment, there was significant difference(P<0.05) in the improve rate of VAS of Anti pronation resistance test、Carpal stretch resistance test and Pain tolerance threshol. and the other observations scale shew no significant difference.5. After the 3nd treatment, The difference between two groups in the improvement of pain threshold of Shousanli Point and pain tolerance threshold of the space between the Redial humeral joint and epicondyle of the humerus was significant (P<0.05), the treatment group was better than the control group. And also the VAS of mills test and Jib carpal stretch test.6. After the 5st treatment, there was on an significant differencein the observations scale (P>0.05). It told us that the two treatment was work in the external humeral epicondylitis.7. It was sorry that one of case from the treatment group appeared edema after the treatment. the symptom disappeared after ice compress and the rest of antebrachium. Fortunately, this symptom didnt affect the treatment. And the other cases never saw the same situation.Conclusion1. Both of two treatment has better therapeutic effect, but A group was better than B group.2. Test have shewn us that the treatment group is work quickly and ease pain of patient fastely.3. The air pressure ballistic shock wave for the external humeral epicondylitis was a kind of effective treatments and is worth spreading and applying.
