Clinical Curative Effect Observation About The Treatment Of Cubital Tunnel Syndrome Curing With Anterior Transposition Of The Ulnar Nerve With Bu Yang Huan Wu Decoction

ObjectiveThe purpose of this study is to observe the clinical curative effect of the patients through the application of Bu Yang Huan Wu decoction in the treatment of Cubital Tunnel Syndrome(CuTS), who curing with the anterior transposition of the ulnar nerve operation. Setting up the observed group and the control group, and comparing the effectiveness before and after treatment. The study aims to provide the clinical basis for further exploration and popularizing the Bu Yang Huan Wu decoction for the recovery in the patients curing with the anterior transposition of the ulnar nerve.MethodsUsing prospective research method, the CuTS patients were diagnosed and treated in Zhongshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) Micro Traumatology department, since 2014 May to 2015 March. The total number of patient was 60, divided into observed group (Traditional Chinese Medicine and Mecobalamin Tablets group) and control group (only with Mecobalamin Tablets group). Both groups were followed up at the first, the third, and the sixth month after operation, recording and setting up data-base about the changes of the limb feeling, the recovery of the motor function, the claw hand deformity and the elbow segment of ulnar nerve’s Motor nerve Conduction Velocity (MCV). Using the intra and inter group comparison study method before and after the treatment, the data were statistically analyzed by SPSS 19.0 software.ResultsThere was no significant difference about gender, age, onset location, ulnar nerve functional comprehensive assessment and its relevant items between the two groups(p>0.05).In the first and the third month, except the limb feeling, there was no significant different evaluation of the other items from the beginning (p>0.05). Fellow-up at the third month,the observation group cases with skin sensory function evaluations compared with those in the control group with significant difference. However, in addition to the claw hand deformity, the rest of investigation project showed marked difference. The observed one was significantly better than the control one(p<0.05).ConclusionTaking Mecobalamin Tablets combined with Bu Yang Huan Wu Decoction in the rehabilitation to the ulnar nerve function of CuTS was better than oral Mecobalamin Tablets. It showed certern feasibility and superiority in treating the dysfunction of ulnar nerve caused by CuTS, which was worthy of further study.
