Observation Of Clinical Effect In Treating Cough Variant Asthma With Manke Ling Decoction

ObjectiveStudying the pathogenesis, clinical characteristics and treatment of Cough Variant Asthma(CVA), as well as observing the clinical effect in treating CVA with Manke Ling Decoction, reflects the advantage of Manke Ling Decoction in treating the disease, than explores the Development of TCM.MethodFor the study, in March 2013 to October 2014,57 patients with Cough Variant Asthma, from outpatient department and inpatient department of Zhanjiang The Second Hospital Of T. C. M, corresponding to CVA diagnostic criteria, were randomly selected and divided into two groups, including, the treatment group of 28 patients,29 patients in comparison group. Two groups of patients were no difference (P>0.05)at the sex, age, course and extent of disease, which learned by statistics analysis.Patients in comparison group were given lmg Ketotifen Fnmarate before sleeping, combined with Seretide, one inhalation into the mouth at a time, twice daily. Based on the western medicine treatment, the treatment group was given Chinese medicne treatment of Manke Ling Decoction.The study for 2 months, including treatment and observation time 1 month each time. Any other drugs and treatments that can exert an influence on the result of treating were forbidden during treating and observing, except expectorant, anti-infective drugs.Both of patierts should consummate associated examinations, before and after treatment, filled out 4 cough symptoms integral forms by Respiratoy Branch of Chinese Medicine Academy, at the 1st,10th day, the end of the treatment and 1 month after the treatment. Peripheral blood eosinophils count, FEV1, PEF and cough symptoms integral, would be recorded.At the end of the treatment, began to curative effect evaluation and safety evaluation.1 month after the treatment, to Statistical recurrence between the effective treatment. To analyze all the data, so as to determine efficacy.Differences of enumeration data and measurement data were compared with χ2 test and t-test.ResultsBefore the treatment, two groups of patients were no difference (P>0.05) at the basic situation and both of all Curative effect evaluations, which learned by statistics analysis. After the treatment, cough symptoms integral, peripheral blood eosinophils count, FEV1 and PEF, the two group were significantly lower (P<0.05), and the treatment group decreased more significantly(P<0.05), except FEV1. After the treatment, there were no severe adverse events and obvious adverse reaction in the two groups.1 month after the treatment, there were 3 Recurrences in treatment group(11.54%)d,8 Recurrences in comparison group(38.10%). Results total effective rate in the treatment group was 92.86%, that higher than 72.41% in curative group with significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion1 Airflow is limited when Cough variant asthma acute attacks, reflected in index of FEV1 and PEF decreased, and reversible after treatment.2 The treatment of cough variant asthma and bronchial asthma principle is similar, antiallergic drugs, β-adrenergic receptor agonists and inhaled corticosteroid compound preparation can achieve better efficacy.3 Manke Ling Decoction can increse the therapeutic effect of western medicine in treating Cough Variant Asthma,relieve the patient’s symptoms sooner and better, decrease the recent recurrence rate, deserve the clinical expansion.
