Objective:Observation of the clinical efficacy of Modified Ma Xing Er Chen Decoction in treating Elderly Cough Variant Asthma(Accumlation of Phlegm Dampness).Methods:The subjects of this study were elderly patients with cough variant asthma who were present at the Department of Geriatrics and Pulmonology of Yunnan Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from December 2016 to December2017.A total of 80 cases were found.They were randomly divided into treatment group(40 cases)and control group(40 cases).The treatment group was given Oral Chinese Herbal Modified Ma Xing Erchen Tang and the control group was given oral Montelukast sodium.Tablets,treatment for 4 weeks.Observe TCM symptom scores,visual analog scores,and the Celeste quality of life questionnaire scores to determine changes in respiratory variability and percentage of eosinophils.After the clinical observation was completed,a database was created using Microsoft Excel 2007,and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS22.0 to evaluate the efficacy.Results:1.Observation of the total score of TCM symptoms: After treatment,the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment,there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05),indicating improvement.The total score of symptoms on the treatment group was better than that of the control group.2.Observation of the effect of each symptom score in Chinese medicine: Before and after the treatment group,the statistical analysis showed that the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);before and after the control group,the symptoms of cough,sputum,shortness of breath and chest tightness were statistically significant(P<0.05),there was no significant difference in the symptoms of itching and somatic fatigue(P>0.05);after treatment,there were significant differences in the symptoms of cough,sputum,shortness of breath,chest tightness and body fatigue between the two groups(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in symptoms of pharyngeal itching(P>0.05),indicating that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving symptoms of cough,sputum,chest tightness,shortness of breath,and body fatigue,and there was no significant difference in symptoms of throat itching.3.Curative effect of cough visual analog score: There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.05);after treatment,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating improvement.The degree of cough in the subjective sensory treatment group was better than that in the control group.4.LCQ quality of life curative effect observation: After treatment,the differences between the two groups before and after treatment were statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the CAV was improved.The quality of life of patients in the treatment group was better than the control group.5.Percentage of EOS: The difference between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the percentage of EOS in inflammatory cells was decreased.The upper treatment group was superior to the control group.6.Efficacy of PEF mutation: After treatment,the difference between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment,there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05),indicating improvement in the patient's gas.The hyperresponsiveness and airway vasomotor function were better in the treatment group than in the control group.7.Overall curative effect observation: In terms of overall clinical efficacy,the total effective rate of the treatment group was 86.8%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 66.7%.Statistical analysis(P<0.05)was statistically significant,indicating that the treatment group was superior in overall curative effect.In the control group.Conclusion:Modified Ma Xing Er Chen Decoction can effectively improve the cough symptoms of dampness and sputum-type cough variant asthma,improve the TCM syndrome scores,visual scores,improve the quality of life,reduce airway hyperresponsiveness,and reduce the incidence of acid myelitis.The sex cells were significantly better than the control group.There were no obvious adverse reactions after taking the medicine.The Chinese medicine differentiation of symptoms and treatment of cough variant asthma has a higher safety effect and is worthy of clinical promotion.
