To Evaluate The Clinical Efficacy Of Colon Cancer Chemotherapy Leucopenia Treated With The Painless Apitherapy

ObjectiveTreating colon cancer chemotherapy leucopenia with The Painless Apitherapy, compared with regular oral Diyushengbai tablets, to evaluate its clinical efficacy on promoting leucocytes, improving health and symptoms. In order to expand a safe, green and effective comprehensive therapy for clinical treatment of colon cancer chemotherapy leucopenia.MethodsThe study will select 66 qualified subjects in oncology department and Traditional treatment department of Guangdong Provincial Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2014 to February 2015, Using the nonrandom comparison group method, and according whether the subject voluntarily accept The Painless Apitherapy or not to divided into treatment group and control group (33 cases each). Treatment group accept The Painless Apitherapy on the 1,3 and 5 days of treatment course, while control group accept regular oral Diyushengbai tablets. Two groups will review blood routine on the 2,4, 6(posttreatment) days of treatment course and the 14 day after treatment (follow-up), and take the KPS questionnaire and TCM symptoms rating scale before and after treatment (the 6 day of treatment course) and follow-up (the 14 day after treatment) respectively, to evaluate the leucocytes elevation, health and symptoms improvement. Simultaneously, record adverse reactions in the process of treatment. Perform statistical analysis of the data with SPSS19.0 software, to assessing the difference of the reatment effect between two groups.Results1. The white blood cell countAfter the study completed,8 markedly (26.67%),18 effective (60%) of treatment group with 86.67% total effective rate, meanwhile 3 markedly(9.38%), 20 effective(62.5%) of control group with 71.88% total effective rate. Results significant difference between two groups with statistical significance. Stating that both two groups have positive clinical effect in colon cancer chemotherapy leucopenia, and treatment group is better than control group.2. KPS scoreIntra-group comparison, KPS scores before and after treatment in two groups were not statistical significance(P>0.05), but the KPS scores of follow-up and posttreatment compared were statistical significance (P<0.05), and the score difference between them through group comparison were also statistical significance(P<0.05). Which prompting two therapise failed to significantly improve health of subjects during treatment, but from the end of treatment to follow-up, health condition of two groups were improved, and that treatment group is better than control group. It could be speculated that The Painless Apitherapy mean something to long-term health condition improvement of colon cancer chemotherapy leucopenia patients.3. TCM symptom scoreIntra-group comparison, TCM symptom scores in two groups on both posttreatment and follow-up were declined compared with their previous state. Compare TCM symptom score after with before treatment, and follow-up with posttreatment respectively, differentia were with statistical significance. It is indicated that The symptoms in two groups obtains the varying degree alleviating.Group comparison, Before and after treatment TCM symptom score difference between the two groups and posttreatment and follow-up score differences were significant differences (P<0.05). It is showed that in the entire study cycle, whether pre to posttreatment or posttreatment to follow-up, treatment group improved more on TCM symptom of colon cancer chemotherapy leucopenia patients.4. Observe adverse reactionsIn the study, only 8 cases(26.67%) appeared mild adverse reactions in treatment group, including 3 cases(10%) slight fever and 5 cases(16.7%) local skin reactions. After, simple treatment, all adverse reactions can fade, without lasting damage Thus it can be seen that The Painless Apitherapy is a safe, green of Traditional Chinese Medicine therapy. ConclusionThrough this study it is illustrated that The Painless Apitherapy has a marked instant effect on colon cancer chemotherapy leucopenia, and could improved TCM symptom in a certain extent. Although it can’t improve health condition in the short term, but it is meaning to long-term health and life condition improvement, what’s more, it is safe without toxic side effects. This safe, effective and green therapy provides the reliable guarantee for colon cancer chemotherapy leucopenia patients to receiving chemotherapy easily and on schedule, deserved spreading clinically.
