Objective To analyze the notifiable infectious diseases reported by information management system for disease surveillance during 2009 to 2013 in Shushan District, in order to provide scientific basis for government to establish prevention strategies.Methods During 2009 to 2013 In Shushan District, the notifiable infectious diseases reported by information management system for disease surveillance were including. Descriptive epidemiological method of the incidence of outbreaks of infectious diseases from 2009 to 2013 were analyzed.Results During the past 5 years, 35081 cases in 21 kinds of notifiable infectious diseases were reported totally. There was no category A infectious disease for report, and the annual average reported incidence rate was 825.54 per 100,000. The highest incidence in 2010 reported incidence rate was 1079.81 per 100,000, and lowest incidence in 2011 reported incidence rate was 660.07 per 100,000.The average mortality was 0.1464 per 100,000, and the average fatality rate was 0.018%. There were 1895 cases in 14 kinds of Category B notifiable disease during the 5 years. The average incidence was 234.79 per 100,000. The average mortality was 0.1269 per 100,000, and the average fatality rate was 0.06%.There were 5121 cases in 8 kinds of Category C notifiable disease during the 5 years.The average incidence was 590.75 per 100,000. The average mortality was 0.0196 per 100,000, and the average fatality rate was 0.004%.The notifiable infectious diseases epidemiological characteristics in Shushan District has obvious seasonal phenomenon. Peaks have focused in May to September. Scattered children accounted for the notifiable infectious diseases is the largest the proportion and the regional distribution were in Jingkai area, Wulidun and Nanqi street. Category B notifiable disease in the top five diseases mainly included Syphilis, tuberculosis, dysentery, hepatitis b and c. Category C notifiable disease in the top three diseases mainly included Other infectious diarrhea, hand-foot-and-mouth disease and mumpsConclusion The intestinal tract and respiratory infectious disease occupies a large proportion. This remind that disease prevention work emphasis in the future is still the intestinal tract and respiratory infections. Category B notifiable disease has been on the rise trend, strengthen the Category B notifiable disease prevention and control work is of great importance. Moreover, source of blood and sexually transmitted infections are also the key point of prevention in the future work. All the work should continue to strengthen the monitoring of infectious diseases.
