External Use Compound Cortex Phellodendri Liquid Treatment The Clinical Effect Of The Treatment Of Chronic Venous Ulcer Of Lower Limbs

PurposeThrough observing the treatment of venous ulcers with the traditional Chinese medicine topical formula Compound phellodendron fluid, its curative effect on reducing ulcer surface area, inhibiting bacteria, promoting wound granulation tissue growth and relieving pain has been testified. Having analyzed the clinical observing data, it is proved that the curative effect of Compound phellodendron fluid on the treatment is the exacted.Methods60 cases of venous ulcer were selected and enrolled in clinical observation program according to the inclusion criteria. They were randomly divided into two groups:the treatment group and the control group and 30 cases of patients for each group. The treatment group:Patients were treated with formula Compound phellodendron fluid soaked on a single layer gauze, applied on the affected area, then covered with sterile gauze, sterile gauze bandages, dressing once a day; The control group:after a conventional treatment, the wound was deal with physiologic saline. Then bind up the wound with sterile gauze, dressing once a day.Two courses of treatment last for 4 weeks totally together with an adjunctive therapy:(1) The patients with severe infection were systemic treated with anti-infective therapy. (2) The diabetics were given insulin or other hypoglyccmic drugs according to the blood glucose content. (3) For patients suffering from arteriosclerosis occlusive and peripheral circulation disturbance, medicine should be given conditionally, such as blood activating and stasis-resolving medicinal. During the therapy, the wound cicatrisation was observed and recorded on the day of 7,12,21,28. The data was processed with statistics and the results were conducted with comparative analysis.Conclusions:The percentage of curative effect in treatment group is 93.3% while 63.3% in control group. Thus it can be concluded that:1, The formula Compound phellodendron fluid for the treatment of chronic venous ulcers, which promotes ulcer healing effect obviously.2, Chinese medicine has significant advantages in the treatment of venous ulcer. There is no adverse reaction in both two groups. The safety index detection on the two groups shows that no poor prognosis has been found which is caused by medicine.
