Professional identity and learning adaptability are important factors, which affect psychology in specialty study and development of specialty ability and should be paid great attention. Whether nursing students in secondary technical school like or accept the specialty of nursing and are adapt to the study in the school will influence their professional study and development. So it seems necessary to figure out how to help the students who graduated from secondary technical school actively learn professional knowledge. For all this, researches on professional identity and learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary technical school are few. Therefore, this research aims to explore the basic situation and the status quo of professional identity and learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary technical school in shanghai and also to analyze the differences and influencing factors of professional identity and learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary technical school. On the other hand, the research also aims to analyze the relationship between professional identity and learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary technical school, which is of great significance to improve the learning quality of nursing students in secondary technical school. Objectives:Based on relevant Chinese and international researches of the professional identity and learning adaptability,this research aims to analyze the basic situation and the status quo of professional identity and learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary technical school in shanghai and it also aims to analyze the differences and influencing factors of professional identity and learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary technical school due to different professional directions, grades, origins, admission to the volunteer, reasons for majoring in nursing specialty, students’school achievements, positions and head teachers. Further, its target is to analyze the relationship between professional identity and learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary technical school. With the study, we can provide scientific decision basis for improving professional identity and learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary technical school and also provide some references for strengthening professional ideological education of professional identity and learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary technical school.Methods:The study utilized questionaire for professional identity of nursing student and learning adaptability scale for students. With a sample of 663 respondents in shanghai health school (east campus). Spss17.0 statistical software and EXCEL2003 were used to descriptive research. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA and logistic regression.Results:This study focuses on the status quo and influence factors and relationship between professional identity and learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary technical school. The steps of analysis are as follows.1. Study on the basic situation of nursing students in secondary vocational schoolThe respondents who were involved in the questionaire are female students. The professional direction is nursing and nursing (midwifery direction). Compared with 85.5% students from shanghai,14.5% come from other provinces and cities. Compared with 42.8% of the nursing students who were enrolled of first choice,50.9% were enrolled of not first choice, and 6.3% were regulated matriculation.only 15.8% students chose this professional willingly.2. Study on the status quo of professional identity and learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary vocational schoolThe mean score of professional identity of nursing students in secondary technical school is 86.87. And as for learning adaptability, the mean score is 101.44.3. Analysis of the professional identity and learning adaptability among nursing students with different characteristics in secondary vocational schoolSingle factor analysis shows that the differences of professional identity of nursing students in secondary vocational school depend on different origins, grades, reasons for majoring in nursing specialty, head teachers and students’school achievements. It is statistically significant(t=-2.548, P<0.05;F=23.813, P<0.001;F=26.230, P<0.001;t=3.719 ,P<0.001;F=4.777,P<0.01);Meanwhile,learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary vocational school is different due to different professional directions,grades,reasons for majoring in nursing specialty, head teachers, positions and students’school achievements.It is statistically significant (t=-2.877,P<0.05; F=2.632,P<0.05; F=4.355, P<0.01; t=3.206, P<0.01; F=7.449, P<0.01; F=27.342, P<0.001).4. Study on influencing factors of professional identity and learning of nursing student in secondary vocational schoolMultiple factor analysis indicates that origins, grades, admission to the volunteer and students’school achievements are significantly Associated with professional identity as follows:OR (95%CI)=6.764 (1.514 ~ 30.217);0.450 (0.328 ~ 0.618);3.178 (1.253 ~ 8.059);0.649 (0.443~0.950);Also, professional directions, reasons for majoring in nursing specialty, students’school achievements and positions are significantly associated with learning adaptability as follows OR(95%CI)=2.430(1.067~5.532);0.382(0.153-0.952),0.314(0.116~0.850) ; 0.429 (0.298~0.618); 0.515 (0.276-0.960).5. Analyze on the relationship between professional identity and learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary vocational schoolLogistic regression analysis indicates that professional identity, Professional will, professional skills and professional values positively predicted learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary technical school.6. Study other items in questionnaire about the secondary vocational nursing students’professional identityThe research shows that 43% students choose nursing as their first choices.91% think that nursing is a profession,while 9% think the other way round. Meanwhile,32.7% students think that the school teachers have the greatest influence on their professional idea, while 36.5% think that contacted nurses had the greatest influence on their professional idea. Conclusions:This research conclusions are as follows:1. The levels of professional identity of nursing students in secondary technical school is higher, the level of learning adaptability is higher.2. Origins, grades, admission to the volunteer and students’school achievements have great influence on professional identity of nursing students in secondary technical school.Futhermore, professional directions, reasons for majoring in nursing special ty, positions and students’school achievements influence learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary technical school.3. Professional identity, professional will,professional skills and professional values positively predicted learning adaptability of nursing students in secondary technical school.
