Acupuncture therapy plays an important role in the knowledge hierarchy of traditional Chinese medicine. However, most of the studies, made through the traditional treatment based on syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine under artificial diagnostic approaches, on human acupuncture points are used for traditional treatment means. Due to the similarities between certain features of the bioelectricity in human acupuncture points and partial content and interpretation of theory of traditional Chinese medicine, this paper considers it as the research objective to supply more research techniques for the relevant theoretical development of human acupuncture points in diagnosis and treatment by collecting electrical signals to find more useful information.The main content of the paper is shown below:1. A brief introduction is presented of the development history and current research progress of the electrical measurement science related to acupuncture points. In addition, an introduction and summary are made on its significance to human acupuncture science by means of a study on its measuring methods and the influencing factors for its measurement. Besides, the main work of the paper is introduced on the basis of the said contents.2. A study on the basic theories related to the bioelectricity in acupuncture points determines a concrete approach and train of thought for the collection of the bioelectricity in acupuncture points.3. A set of hardware system is designed for the acquisition of the subcutaneous potential information in acupuncture points. At the same time, the four-way electric potential signals are collected through felting needles, and these signals flow through four sets of artificial circuits, which are:Preamplifier module, high-pass and low-pass filtration module,50hz notch module and secondary amplifier module, all of which magnify and denoise it; parts of digital circuits:use TMS3201f2407-type DSP to complete the A/D conversion of the collected analog electric potential signals and use RS-232 serial interface to upload digital signals into computer.4. In order to improve the reliability of the digital electric potential signals stored in computer for a better analysis and comparison, it’s feasible to use wavelet transform to impose digital noise reduction on bio-electricity signal due to its instability, to further purify the signal on the basis of noise reduction with hardware. A preliminary comparative analysis is made on the collected and processed signals, and multiple sequence alignment based on wavelet multi-resolution analysis instead of artificial alignment method is adopted to make comparison on the four-way potentials collected from the same acupuncture point and make classified comparison on the signals in different acupuncture points.From the above content it’s finally determined that bio-electricity signal can faithfully reflect the biological characteristics of acupuncture therapy, and it is the faithful representation of the biological information in acupuncture points. So it can become infallible data for the medical research on acupuncture points if a further analysis and study is made on the information coding of acupuncture points.
