| Objective:To solve this problem that the post-stroke depression (short for PSD in th e following part of article) can seriously affect the quality of life in post- rehabilitation of st roke patients, we compare the clinical efficacy of the Sun’s abdominal acupuncture and trad itional acupuncture treatment for post stroke depression, and seek a more secure and conve nient treatment option for clinic.Method:60 cases in line with the PSD inclusion criteria were randomly divided into t reatment group and control group (30 cases respectively). Electro-acupuncture treatment gro up choose Baihui, emotional area, Professor Sun Shentian ventral abdominal acupuncture fi rst area. Electro-acupuncture control group choose Baihui, emotional area, the Shenmen (do uble), Daling (double), Neiguan (double), Qimen (double), Hegu (double), Taichong (doubl e). Using diatational wave, each power 20 minutes, and retain the needle 20 minutes for 4 w eeks(6 times a week). Meanwhile, we evaluate the efficacy on depression of the two group s before and after treatment using the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD) 17 items and depression scale score of TCM symptom criteria. The obtained data were statistically a nalyzed with SPSS17.0 software.Result:(1) Comparing the treatment group and the control group on HAMD scores:Aft er treatment, the HAMD scores of two groups were compared within (P<0.01) and amon g (P<0.05) the group respectively. The differences were statistically significant, which illus trate that two treatment methods are both effective in improving depressive symptoms in pa tients with PSD, and the treatment group is better than the control group.(2) Comparing the treatment group and the control group on TCM symptoms depressio n scale scores:After treatment, the TCM symptoms depression scale scores of two group s were compared within (P<0.01) and among (P<0.05) the group respectively. The differen ces were statistically significant, which illustrate that two treatment methods are both effect ive in improving depressive symptoms in patients with PSD, and the treatment group is bett er than the control group.(3) Comparing the treatment group and the control group on SDS scores:After treatment, the SDS scores of two groups were compared within (P<0.01) and among (P<0. 05) the group respectively. The differences were statistically significant, which illustrate tha t two treatment methods are both effective in improving depressive symptoms in patients w ith PSD, and the treatment group is better than the control group.(4) Comparison of clinical efficacy:After treatment, the total effective rate of the treat ment group is 90%, while the control group is 63.33%. The difference was statistically signi ficant (P<0.05), indicating that the treatment group has a better clinical efficacy in improvin g depressive symptoms in patients with PSD than the control group.Conclusion:Electro-acupuncture Sun’s abdomen abdominal acupuncture first area ca n significantly improve the depression symptoms of patients with post-stroke depression, w hich is more effective than traditional acupuncture method. |
