Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Constipation After Apoplexy With Scalp Foot Motor-sensory Area Combine With The Ninth Area Of Sun’s Abdominal Acupuncture

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of scalp foot motor-sensory area combine with the ninth area of Sun’s abdominal acupuncture in treating constipation after stroke.By comparing with traditional acupuncture treatment,we aim at providing a more safe and effective method for clinical application.Methods:In this clinic trail,72 patients were enrolled according to the diagnostic criteria,and been randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,36 cases each.Both groups were receiving basic treatment.The treatment group adopts the combination treatment of prodding scalp foot motor-sensory area,the ninth area of Sun’s abdominal acupuncture and traditional acupoints,the control group use traditional acupoints only.Both groups were treated once daily with needle retaining for 30minutes each time,continuous treating for 7 days.Evaluate the clinical efficacy with the clinical symptoms score of constipation,first defecation time and the quality of life score for constipation people.Results:1.before treatment,the general condition(gender,age,the course of disease,the type of stroke),the constipation condition(the clinical symptoms score of constipation)and the quality level of life score all have no obviously difference(p>0.05),the two groups were comparable.2.As for the total clinical symptoms score of constipation,individual clinical symptoms score of constipation and the quality of life score for constipation people,the scores decreased after treatment,there were statistical significant difference between the treatment group and in the control group respectively(p<0.05).3.As for comparing the total clinical symptoms score of constipation in two groups after treatment,The treatment group scored lower than the control group,there was statistical difference between the treatment group and the control group(p<0.05).4.As for comparing each individual clinical symptoms score of constipation in two groups before and after treatment.As for defecation interval time and desire to defecate,there were no statistical difference(p>0.05);as for defecation rate,defecation difficulty,concomitant symptoms and fecal character,The treatment group scored lower than the control group,there were statistical significant difference(p<0.05).5.As for comparing the first defecation time in two groups after treatment,The treatment group was shorter than the control group,there was obvious statistical significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(p<0.01).6.As for comparing the quality of life score in two groups before and after treatment,The treatment group scored lower than the control group,there was statistical significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(p<0.05).7.As for comparing the effective rate of two groups,the total effective rate in the control group is 72.72%,and that in the treatment group is 88.23%.There was statistical significant difference between two groups(p<0.05).Conclusions:1.Both prodding scalp foot motor-sensory area combine with the ninth area of Sun’s abdominal acupuncture and traditional acupuncture treatment are effective for treating constipation after stroke.And the former is better than latter especially in first defecation,defecation difficulty,defecation rate,fecal character and concomitant symptoms,2.Both prodding scalp foot motor-sensory area combine with the ninth area of Sun’s abdominal acupuncture and traditional acupuncture treatment can improve the quality of life of constipation patients and the former do better than the latter.
