Objective:①Through the summary and analysis of recent literature usingmedication-related navel therapy in treating with Diarrhea-predominant Irritable BowelSyndrome (IBS-D),to sum up the delivery regularity of navel therapy in treating withIBS-D.②To discuss the relationship between the effect of navel therapy and the expressof cannabinoid receptor1(CB1) and cannabinoid receptor2(CB2) in acupoint and targetorgan through observing navel therapy in treating with rats with Diarrhea-predominantIrritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Then to explain the mechanism of navel therapy intreating with IBS-D from the angle of endocannabinoid system. Methods: Taking China Academic Journal Network Publishing Database asinformation retrieval source, the recent papers from1998to2013about IBS-D treated bynavel therapy were retrieved. By statistics, summary and analysis, the delivery regularityof navel therapy of IBS-D was summarized.40rats were randomly divided into4groups: the normal group, the control group, thegroup of herb-partitioned moxibustion on navel, and the group of moxa stick moxibustionon navel. There are10rats in each group. Except the normal group, the remaining3groupsused the method of acetic acid enema and restraint stress to set up the model of IBS-D.After the success of setting up the model, the normal group and the control group wereonly grabbed and strained as same as the other groups except the treatment. The other twogroups were respectively treated by herb-partitioned moxibustion on navel, and moxa stickmoxibustion on navel. The treatments were performed for once every other day,5timestotal.10days after the start of treatment, the indexes of these groups were assessed.Results:①After analyzing the relative literature of IBS-D using navel therapy, theresult shows: The top10herbs used in high frequency are: Syzygium aromaticum, Ginger, Cinnamon, Fructus Evodia, Radices paeoniae alba, Chinese gall, bighead atractylodesrhizome, folium artemisiae argyi, liquorice and the root of fangfeng.②Herbs with thecharacter of warm and heat are more frequently used than herbs with cold and mild-natured.③Herbs with the taste of acrid were the most frequently used.④Herbs entering spleenmeridian, liver meridian and stomach meridian are most frequently used. However, herbsentering large intestine and small intestine are seldomly used.In terms of the improvement in symptoms, the group of herb-partitioned moxibustionon navel and the group of moxa stick moxibustion on navel are superior to the controlgroup. The group of herb-partitioned moxibustion on navel was better than the group ofmoxa stick moxibustion on navel in alleviating the IBS-D symptoms. In terms of the expression of CB1、CB2in acupoint and target organ: the group ofherb-partitioned moxibustion on navel expressed significantly higher (P<0.05) level aftertreatment than before treatment. However, after treatment, the group of moxa stickmoxibustion on navel showed no difference (P>0.05) compared with before treatment. After treatment, the expression of CB1、 CB2in acupoint and target organ inherb-partitioned moxibustion on navel is higher than the expression of control group. Conclusion: According to statistics, the delivery regularity of navel therapy of IBS-Dare:①Herbs with the character of warm and heat are most frequently used.②Herbs withthe taste of acrid are most frequently used.③Herbs entering spleen meridian, livermeridian and stomach meridian are most frequently used.Herb-partitioned moxibustion on navel is more efficiently alleviating the symptoms ofIBS-D rats and enhance the expression of CB1、CB2in acupoint and target organ. There ispositive correlation between these two results. The CB1、CB2maybe one of the key factorsof amplification of biological information of navel therapy.
