Objective:postmenopausal women Osteoporosis (PMOP) mainly of physiological postmenopausal women, bone loss due to estrogen deficiency and bone structure, imbalance caused by the process of bone resorption and bone formation, traditionally the use of estrogen replacement therapy, but the side effects more distinctly.Phytoestrogens (PE) and side effects of low estrogen-like biological activity effectively and maintain normal bone metabolism in osteoporosis prevention, increasing people’s attention. Study found that compared with the Western countries, high dietary intake of Phytoestrogens in Chinese population, but did not reduce the incidence of osteoporosis in women after menopause. Therefore, we suspect that the genetic differences played a role in individuals. This study has selected PMOP is associated with a higher level of three kinds of polymorphism of the estrogen receptor alpha gene:PvuⅡ, XbaⅠ enzyme polymorphism and TA repeat sequence polymorphism and CA repeat sequence polymorphism, and combined with the investigation target population dietary intake of Phytoestrogens in Nanchang city, exploring both affect the relevance of bone metabolism in postmenopausal women.Methods:Selected280postmenopausal women of Nanchang accord with the requirement of the investigation, collected basic material and diatery material of the sample. BMD of lumbar spine, femoral neck were measured by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry. The PvuII and XbaⅠ polymorphisms of ER-alpha gene were detected by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP), and PCR products purification, sequencing methods detected the TA repeat sequence polymorphism.Results:(1) The result of correlation analysis showed that there were no relationship between BMD of lumbar spine, femoral neek with the genotype of Pvu Ⅱ and Xba Ⅰ polymorphisms.(2) The differences of BMD of lumbar spine, femoral neek were no significant within high, medium and low groups with dietary phytoestrogens intake.(3) The xx genotype of XbaⅠwas positively correlated between the lumbar BMD and intake (p<0.05).(4) TA, CA repeats polymorphism and bone mineral density in postmenopausal women of Nanchang without significant. Conclusions (1) We found no relationships between the ERa gene polymorphisms and BMD of postmenopausal women in Nanchang, but different genotypes could affect dietary phytoestrogens different individual bone metabolism effect.(2)The xx genotype of Xba Ⅰ effect of daily dietary Phytoestrogens in response to bone metabolism.
