Objective: Observe the lung functions and CAT indexes of71cases "fast"/"slow"chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases within one year. Comprehensive analyses ofchanges in each index was made before and after one year, and find out the associationbetween TCM constitution and the indexes of "fast"/"slow" chronic obstructive pulmonarydiseases. Methods: clinical questionnaires, pulmonary function tests and TCMconstitution classification determinations were carried on71cases "fast"/"slow" chronicobstructive pulmonary diseases met the criteria. Result:The mean value of acuteexacerbations in "fast" development COPD group of patients before/after year wererespectively3,0;the statistical P <0.05;The number of hospitalizations before/after yearwere respectively1,0; the statistical P <0.05;Mean FVC index of lung functionbefore/after the year were respectively70%,84%,the statistical P <0.05;The mean valueof Dyspnea grades before/after year were respectively3and2times,the statistical P<0.05;CAT quality of life scores before/after year were respectively20and11,thestatistical P<0.05; The acute exacerbation times of "slow" development COPD groupbefore/after year were respectively3,0;the statistical P <0.05;Lung function index FEV1before/after year were respectively68.95%,59.00%,the statistical P<0.05;The meanvalue of FEV1/FVC before/after year were respectively65.88%,70.00%,the statistical P<0.05;CAT life quality mean scores were respectively11.5,10.05before/after year, thestatistical P<0.05.62out of71patients’ lung functions varying by certain degrees withinone year, among these patients,62.29%were Qi deficiency and Yang quality physiquepatients. Conclusions:By Integrated Traditional Chinese and Westernmedicine standardized treatment, regular follow-up visits and The adjustment of diet and daily life, may slow down the lung functions decline rates of patients with "fast"/"slow"chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, among TCM constitutions, the Qideficiency, Yang deficiency and Flat and quality change most obvious.
