Objective:The historical data in recent years were collected through the cross-sectionalinvestigation of the food safety of Suzhou Industrial Park, the existing problemsand influencing factors within the jurisdiction were understood, and the food safety management status of the food production and processing units were knowed, then the specific solutions were put forward to the questions, this study will provide scientific basis for government to formulate food safety supervision project.Methods:Data collection:1. The government work data of food complaints and administrative punishment in various fields including food production and processing, circulation, catering services during the year from2012to2014were collected andanalysed.2. The data of the food safety sampling of Industrial Park during the year from2012to2014were collected and analysed, and were comparated to thatof other regions in the city of Suzhou.3. The data which included the foodborne disease surveillance of the sentinel hospitals during the year from2012to2013, the foodborne illness questionnaire of community residents and the food poisoning occurrence during the year from2010to2014were collected and analysed, and were comparated to the foodborne disease surveillance in other areas of Suzhou CityThe questionnaire survey of catering services: Stratified random sampling method to Select the Suzhou Industrial Park,217enterprises canteens, school canteens as investigation object. In the217canteen survey, each canteen choose1management personnel or the responsible person (217)conducted a questionnaire survey.The data were input using Epidata database software, and were analysedwith software SPSS18.0using “Chi square completely randomized design for×list test”, the standard of the statistical hypothesis test is0.05. Results:In recent years, the overall level of food safety in the Industrial Park remainssteadily, the qualified rate of food safety sampling in the year of2013,2014ishigher than that of2012, and is in the upper level of Suzhou City; the qualified rate of flight sampling in the year of2013is93.55%, which is lower than thatof the average level of95.41%; there is no statistically significant difference in time and regional distribution about the probability of occurrence of food borne disease in community residents in recent years, the monthly average positive rate is around2%; each year the positive rate of pathogenic bacteria and virus monitoredby sentinel hospitals is more than10%which is in the medium level; the schoolcanteen management level is higher than that of the enterprises and institutions in the use and management of food additives, the training work of food safety; although the administrative punishment cases has increased year by year, but the amount and the punishment intensity is lower; the amount number of complaints annually is in rapid growth which are in the market circulation and catering services, the average is more than300every year.Conclusion:1.With the people’s cultural level and the growing material and cultural needs,the number of complaints is in rapid growth; the amount and the punishment intensity of the administrative punishment cases increases year by year.2.In recent years, the overall level of food safety in the park remains steadily, the qualified rate of food safety sampling is in the upper level of Suzhou City.3. There is no statistically significant difference in time and regional distribution about the probability of occurrence of food borne disease in community residents in recent years, the positive rate of pathogenic bacteria and virus monitored by sentinel hospitals is in the medium level of the whole city.4. The management level of school canteen is higher than that of enterprises and institutions.
