Research On The Quality Of Life And Its Influencing Factors Of The Rural Elderly About Uygur And Kazakh Ethnic Group

Background/Objective：Study on the quality of life of the elderly in our country to city and economicallydeveloped provinces for many, but related to the study of rural and minority area for less.To vestigate thecondition about the quality of life and its influencing factors of Uygur and kazak ethnic groups’ elderlypeople in rural areas of Xinjiang province, in order to provide a reliable basis for the improving of theirquality of life.Methods: Methods of the typical sampling and random sampling are combined to determine the object ofthis study.Through face-to-face survey method to collect with local residents aged≥60years rural Uygurand Kazak elderly ethnic groups’general demographic characteristics, quality of life, social support anddaily activity data. Data based by EpiData3.0software and with double entry, using SPSS17.0statisticalsoftware for data arrangement, processing and statistics description. The survey data of the measurementdata using M（P25,P75）said, the count data using the number of cases (percentage) said, using the analysis ofvariance and rank test method to analysis the Single factors of affecting the elderly life quality. Adopted themethod of logistic regression to analysis the multiple factors affecting the elderly life quality, using theSpearman method to improve the correlation analysis between the data.Results（:1）The rural Uygur and kazak elderly’s life quality scores were550(450,625) and525(450,650),The quality of life level was of the medium level, the elderly’s quality of life differences between the twoethnic groups had no statistical significance(P<0.05). The Ha-layugong township and Shi-hezi rural uygurelderly’s score are higher than the elderly of Ha-labula’s township.（2）Through the logistic regressionanalysis results showed that the main factors of the quality of life about the rural Uygur’s elderly weregender, age, living ways, two-week prevalence, chronic disease situation, sleep quality, medical expenseand social support situation; the main factors of the quality of life about the rural Kazak’s elderly were age,two-week prevalence, chronic disease situation, do farm work or exercise and sleep quality.(3) The ruralUygur and Kazak elderly’s quality of life score with the social support and the ability of activities of dailyliving score showed a linear correlation.Conclusion: The affecting factors of rural Uygur and Kazak’s elderly about the quality of life weregenerally demographic data, family and marital status, health status and related factors. We should takecomprehensive measures to improve the life quality of old people from individual, family, social and healtheducation and promotion and other aspects.
