By building animal models of syndrome of phlegm-heat obstructing lung ofinterstitial pneumonia, and analyzing the effect mechanism of Qingjinyifei decoction onsyndrome of phlegm-heat obstructing lung of interstitial pneumonia from pathology,immunology, cytokines, oxidative stress and gene expression, we explored the treatmentand herbs of syndrome of phlegm-heat obstructing lung of interstitial pneumonia. In clinic,observe the clinical manifestations of patients suffering from syndrome of phlegm-heatobstructing lung of interstitial pneumonia before and after treatments, and compare theresults of pulmonary function test.Healthy male SD rats of clean grade were randomly divided into five groups: Blankcontrol group(K group), syndrome of phlegm-heat obstructing lung of interstitialpneumonia model group(M group), traditional Chinese medicine therapy group(Z group),hormone therapy group(J group), traditional Chinese medicine plus hormone therapygroup(H group). Establish the interstitial pneumonia models by dropping the bleomycininto trachea, and establish the phlegm-heat obstructing lung models by dropping thelipopolysaccharide into trachea the next day. Observe pathological changes of lung tissueunder light microscope,detect the expression levels of IL-8, TGF-β1and TNF-α byELISA and the expression levels of VEGF-mRNA in lung tissue of rats in each group byPCR, and test the activity of SOD and GSH in abdominal aorta serum in each group. Onclinical study, we selected60patients suffering from syndrome of phlegm-heat obstructinglung of interstitial pneumonia, and divided them into two groups: the control group(hormone+acetylcysteine tablets) and the experimental group (Qingjinyifei decoction+hormone+acetylcysteine tablets), and then observed the changes in their clinicalmanifestations and lung function test. We used SPSS19.0software for statistical analysis ofexperimental data. The results of animal experiments showed that after applying Qingjinyifei decoction,pathological changes and testing in factors in the lung tissue of rats in each group hadsignificantly improved compared with which before treatment. That is that the effect ofQingjinyifei decoction on syndrome of phlegm-heat obstructing lung of interstitialpneumonia was apparent. And its mechanism may lie in improving airway function in rats,correcting its oxidant/antioxidant imbalance, and to some extent may improvingpulmonary vascular remodeling, and meanwhile regulating the immune. The resultsshowed that Qingjinyifei decoction combined with hormone may enhance the anti-fibroticefforts, which provided an experimental basis of Chinese medicine widely used in clinical.Clinical study results showed clinical symptoms of experimental group was significantlybetter than the control group, and the pulmonary function had a correspondingperformance, which coincided with the results of animal experiments. All of these clarifiedthat it’s necessary to combine traditional Chinese medicine and hormone therapy ininterstitial pneumonia treatment.
