Nutritional Status And KAP Analysis Of Students In One Medical College Of Chifeng City

Object:Evaluating on students’ nutritive knowledge, attitude behaviors and physicalsituation, who are studying in medical school of one university of Chifeng, so as toapply scientific basis to develop nutritional health education on a larger scale andimprove their nutritional healthy level.Method:BMI was used to evaluate209students'nutritive status, who were selected byoral medicine undergraduate of2011、nursing program of grade2012、laboratorymedicine of2012、oral medicine undergraduate of2013of one university ofChifeng. Self-designed questionnaires were distributed to search their nutritiveknowledge-attitude-practice. In addition, nutritive situation from students fromdifferent characteristic was descriptively analysed.2-test was used to compare thedifferent characteristic students'nutritive situation, Fisher’s exact probability wasused to compare the different characteristic students'average mark of nutritiveknowledge,attitude and Mann-Whitney Test was used to compare the differentnutritive knowledge mark.Results:(1) Among the students investigated, there was12.92percent(27students) wasmalnutritive,14.35percent was fat and overweight. There was no difference amongthe students of different gender, malnutritive and normal weight, the overweight andfat male students are more than female. Among different national, different origin,different specialty and educational level of their mother students,there was nodifference in malnutritive, normal weight, overweight and fat. All results was countedby2-test.(2) The score of nutritive knowledge for the medical students is18.45±3.87,belonging to good grade. The female score is significantly higher than male, the score of han nationality students is higer than Mongolian, the score fromstudents who ever studied nutritive knowledge is significantly higher than none,however, there was no difference among different origin.There were6students(2.87%), belonging to bad nutritive knowledge mark,142students(67.94%) belong to good, and61students(29.19%) belong to excellence. Tocompare the nutrition knowledge level, the female students is higher than male, thehan nationality students is higer than Mongolian, the students who ever studiednutritive knowledge is significantly higher than none, however, there was nodifference among different origin.(3) The score of nutritive attitude for the medical students is14.22±2.42.88.52%students paid close attention to healthy diet,45.93%students directed their diet withnutritive knowledge, and59.81%students paid close attention to media nutritiveknowledge. The han nationality students is more than Mongolian, and the studentswho ever studied nutritive knowledge is significantly higher than none, however,there was no difference among students from different places and different gender.(4) According to diet behaviors research, we found that69.40%students ate threemeals a day,23.40%students ate two meals a day,3.80%students only ate one meal aday;65.60%students took notice of their food intake;12.00%students thought theirdiet behavior was influenced by media,60.30%students thought their diet behaviorwas influenced by their parents,27.80%students thought their diet behavior wasinfluenced by their friends. among209investigated medical students,92.30%students wished to know some nutritive knowledge,93.30%students was willing tochange their diet habit to improve their health.To display breakfast behaviors:62.4%Han students eat breakfast everyday,40.7%Mongolian students eat breakfast everyday. Every day do not eat breakfastwith8.5%students, the Han, Mongolian3.4%.80.9%of the Han students eatbreakfast in the dining hall,49.2%Mongolian students eat breakfast in the canteen.5%of the students of Han nationality and20.3%Mongolian students choose at theroadside stalls to eat breakfast. The results show, with statistical significance between Han and Mongolian students breakfast frequency difference, namely Han andMongolian students breakfast intake of different frequencies. Fisher’s exact test resultsshow that, the Han, Mongolian students choose breakfast spot distribution differencehas statistics significance, namely, the Han and Mongolian College Students breakfastplace different distribution.95.1%of the Han nationality students think that breakfastis very important,2.1%of the students think that breakfast is not important,2.8%ofthe students think does not matter. Mongolian students,94.9%of the students thinkthat breakfast is very important,1.7%of the students think that is not important.3.4%of the students think that without a breakfast.95.1%of the students of Han nationality,93.2%Mongolian students think that breakfast should be the first in line for threemeals. The results show that, the Han, Mongolian students cognition for breakfast andBreakfast importance ranking situation difference has statistics significance, namely,the Han, Mongolian students cognition for breakfast, breakfast qualifying situation isdifferent.Conclusion:The investigated students′diet situation is good, but male students is fatter.The nutrition knowledge of the medical college students average overall is goodgrades. the female nutrition knowledge score was significantly higher than male. Thenutrition knowledge of Han nationality students score is slightly higher than that ofMongolian students. Learn nutrition course students’ knowledge of nutrition werehigher than that without learning nutrition course students.The medical school students nutrition attitude scores in good condition. Nutritionattitude of Han nationality students are higher than those in Mongolian students.Study of nutrition course students had higher scores than the never learned nutritioncourse students.The medical school in eating behavior is more reasonable, the Han studentsconsumption frequency of vegetables, fruits, eggs, food is slightly higher than that ofMongolian students.The medical college students’ study, not the law of life, sleep late and get up late phenomenon is relatively common, so some students have no time to eat breakfast.
