Objective:Evaluation of domestic Epalrestat Tablets on the treatment of non proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR) effectiveness and control effect, occurrence, development of domestic Epalrestat Tablets can prevent and reverse NPDR. Method:Clinical random collection since2012July to2013August in Department of endocrinology of Affiliated Hospital of Luzhou Medical College diagnosed with type2diabetes mellitus (DM2) and at the same time in the Department of ophthalmology outpatient or inpatient department were diagnosed as DM2complicated by NPDR patients, and in accordance with the diagnostic criteria, inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria of136randomized patients as the research object, the age of40~76age, duration3~13, according to a study of blood sugar control and use of domestic Epalrestat Tablets (Tang Lin) were randomly divided into4groups, namely:①The good blood sugar control and oral Tang Lin (50mg/time, tid, preprandial oral administration, continuous administration of24W, the same below) group (combined intervention group);②The good glycemic control did not take Tang Linzu (glucose control group);③The poor glycemic control oral Tang Linzu(oral Tang Lin group);④Without blood glucose control and did not take Tang Lin group (control group). Before treatment and after treatment, the4W,12W,24W were visual acuity, in patients with central retinal artery (CRA) by color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI), oscillatory potentials of electroretinogram (ERG-Ops) examination, analysis and comparison of the therapeutic effect of observation group Tang Lin. Results:The objects of this study were randomly collected in accordance with the conditions of136people. Of which7patients were conscious vision increase obviously declined for inspection or the middle of active request was rejected from the observation,3patients for the progression of the disease occurred vitreous hemorrhage need operation treatment is unable to continue to participate in the study,1patients with diabetic ketoacidosis admission and withdrawal. The final125patients completed the whole observation period, the completion rate of91.9%. Among them, the combined intervention group31cases, control of blood glucose group31cases, oral Tang Lin group31cases, control group32cases. The results are as follows:(1) for the4W,12W,24W blood glucose control and oral Tang Lin two kinds of treatment methods on the indexes of NPDR patients:①Whether the control of blood glucose and the use of Tang Lin two method of measurement of each evaluation index of patients were no interaction (All P>0.05).②Were statistically significant main effects of glycemic control and oral Tang Lin on visual acuity improvement (All P<0.001).③The main effects were significant blood glucose control and oral Tang Lin on the patients with ERG-OPs (All P<0.05).④For patients with oral Tang Lin CRA peak systolic (PSV), end diastolic velocity (EDV), resistance index (RI) of main effects were significant (All P<0.05).(2) Comparison of blood glucose control and oral Tang Lin overall efficacy on NPDR patients treatment:In the treatment of4W,12W,24W, the combination efficiency were higher than that of taking Tang Linzu, blood glucose control group and the control group, the difference was statistically significant (All P<0.001). Conclusion:Taking Chinese Epalrestat Tablets Tang Lin and glycemic control in combined therapy can delay, prevent or/and reversion of NPDR occurrence, development, improve the prognosis of patients with NPDR, the domestic Epalrestat Tablets Tang Lin is an effective drug in treating NPDR.
