The Differences Between Different Levels Of Periventricular-Intraventricular Hemorrhanges And Gesell Scale Evaluation Results In Infants

Objective:To investigate the differences between the different levels of periventricular-intraventricular hemorrhages (PIVH) and Gesell Developmental Diagnosis Scale (GDDS) scores.Methods:A total413cases of outpatient infants were divided into5groups according to the cranial tow-dimensional ultrasound (2DUS) performances within one week, which were control group of122cases with no obvious abnormity, group A of103cases with level I PVH-FVH, group B of160cases with level II PVH-IVH, group C of20cases with level III PVH-IVH and group D of8cases with level IV PVH-IVH; Gesell scale were used to diagnose scores in4functional zones (verbal ability, item ability, sports ability and social ability) within one to six months, and compared the differences of Gesell scores between groups.Results:In this study, children in group A accounted for35.4%, children in group B accounted for55.0%, children in group C accounted for6.9%, children in group D accounted for2.7%. Compared with the control group, the performance of the four functional zones in group B, C and D were significantly lower (P<0.05); The performance of the four functional zones in group A was better than those of group C and D (P<0.05); verbal ability, item ability and social ability of Group B were statistically better than those of group C (P<0.05), and the scores of the four functional zones in group B were statistically higher than group D (P<0.05); The performance of sports ability in Group C was better that in group D (P<0.05). There were no statistically significant between the rest groups (all P>0.05).Conclusion:Different levels of infant PIVH have different influence in intelligence development.
