Objective:The diagnosis and treatment of male breast cancer have no criteria to rely on and still share the same guideline as that of female breast cancer. It deserves more reaserch.Methods:Retrospective analysis on the9MBC patients of The Second Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang University from2007to2014, combining with the related data. Discuss the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of male breast cancer.Resules:All of the9patients have a breast mass around the areola of breast, and8of them present with a palpable breast mass. Ultrasonography and mammography may play an significant role in clinical diagnosis of male breast cancer. The rate of patients with lymph node metastasis is44.4%.2patients are diagnosed as clinical stage I,4are stage â…¡, and3are stage â…¢. The rate of ER/PR and Her-2positive are87.5%and25%respectively. The major treatments are modified radical mastectomy combined with radiotherapy, chemotherapy, endocrine therapy and targeted therapy. Most of these patients are still under treatment and follow-up.Conclusion:The major treatment is surgery combined with radiotherapy, chemotherapy and endocrine therapy. The major choice of surgery is modified radical mastectomy. But for some patients of early stage or of special pathological types, mastectomy with sentinel lymph node biopsy is more recommended.
