Curative Effect Observation Of Patch Method With Gelatin Sponge Absorbing Rb-bFGF In The Treatment Of Traumatic Tympanic Membrane Perforation

ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of rb-bFGF(Recombinant Bovine Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor) Combined with Gelatin Sponge in the treatment of Traumatic Tympanic membrane(TM) perforation.MethodFrom January2007to June2010,58cases of traumatic tympanic membrane perforation treated with rb-bFGF Combined with Gelatin Sponge were analysed retrospectively. According to the size of perforatin, the patients were assigned to A group(type1,34cases) or B group(type Ⅱ and Ⅲ,24cases).ResultIn A group,34patients were cured, the cure rate was100%, in B group,23patients were cured, the cure rate was95.8%.The method was more effective in treatment of traumatic perforation, moreover,earlier treatment lead to higher cure rate.Conclusionrb-bFGF Combined with Gelatin Sponge treating traumatic tympanic membrane perforation can effectively promote the healing of the perforation with shorter healing time. It is a comparatively ideal treatment with excellent curative effect, simple operation, low cost and without obvious adverse reaction which is worth promoting in clinic.
