Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of compound matrine injection in adjuvant treatment of primary liver cancer by system evaluation and Meta analysis of RCT,and also to provide strong evidence for the treatment scheme optimization of primary liver cancer in clinic. Methods:We comprehensively searched CNKI、VIP、CBM、The WanFang Database、 PubMed、MEDLINE、EMB and the Cochrane Library, ect. And we also evaluate the clinical research literatures at home and aboard from1993to2013on compound matrine injection combined with TACE in treatment of primary liver cancer. Then two researchers screen documents separately by using cochrane system evaluation method.Later we evaluate the date information one by one. At last we do Meta analysis and descriptive analysis to the choosen information by professional statistical software. Results:We chose12pairs of RCT,including757patients. There are555males and202females in these patients. We chose380of them as treatment group and the others as the control group. It was reported that all the researches are using random methods and we did not know the hidden information behind random methods and whether using blind methods. Meta analysis shows that compared with using TACE only, combined use of compound matrine injection and TACE has statistical difference in total efficiency, improving the quality of life, and reducing toxic and side effects. Conclusion:The research and Meta analysis show that the effect of combined use of compound matrine injection and TACE in treatment of primary carcinoma of the liver is much better than the use of TACE only in treatment. The combined use in treatment can also enhance the total efficiency, improve the quality of life of patients, and reduce the toxicity. The results of the system evaluation can provide reference for the clinical treatment of patients with PLC.The conclusion of the system evaluation should be treated cautiously and still need to be strengthened by more high-quality clinical RCT about compound Marine Injection combined with TACE in the treatment of PLC in the future.
