Objective:Explore whether Syndrome of dampness in middle Jiao caused by change of the expression of water-glucose cotransporters and leading to water metabolism imbalance. Researching whether remove moisture function of Pingwei Power rely on adjusting the water-glucose cotransporters expression to regulate water metabolism.Method:Using mature model rats of Syndrome of dampness in middle Jiao, detecting distribution of water-glucose cotransporters (SGLTl, GLUT2, GLUT3) in liver, lung and kidney of rats by immunohistochemical. Detecting the content of SGLT1, GLUT2, GLUT3and Na+-K+-ATPase in liver, lung and kidney by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Results:1. Distribution of proteins:After animal model building, these proteins expression increased:SGLT1GLUT2and GLUT3in liver, GLUT2in lung, SGLT1, GLUT2and GLUT3in kidney. After treated by Pingwei Power, these proteins expression increased:SGLT1, GLUT2in lung, GLUT2in kidney; these proteins expression decreased:SGLT1, GLUT2and GLUT3in liver, GLUT3in kidney. If untreated, these proteins expression increased: GLUT2in lung and kidney; these proteins expression decreased:SGLT1, GLUT2and GLUT3in liver, GLUT3in kidney. After giving Pingwei Power to normal control rats, these proteins expression increased:GLUT2in lung, SGLT1, GLUT2in kidney; these proteins expression decreased:SGLT1, GLUT2ang GLUT3in liver.2. Proteins content:After animal model building, these proteins content increased:Na+-K+-ATPase in kidkey, these proteins content decreased:SGLT1in kidkey. After treated by Pingwei Power, these proteins content increased:SGLT1, GLUT2, GLUT3and Na+-K+-ATPase in liver, SGLT1, GLUT2and Na+-K+-ATPase in lung, SGLT1, GLUT2and GLUT3in kidney; these proteins content decreased:GLUT3in lung, Na+-K+-ATPase in kidney. If untreated, these proteins content increased:GLUT2, GLUT3and Na+-K+-ATPase in liver, SGLT1and GLUT2in lung, GLUT2, GLUT3and Na+-K+-ATPase in kidney; these proteins content decreased:GLUT3in lung. After giving Pingwei Power to normal control rats, these proteins content increased: SGLT1, GLUT2, GLUT3and Na+-K+-ATPase in liver, SGLT1and GLUT2in lung, GLUT2and GLUT3in kidney; these proteins content decreased:GLUT3in lung, Na+-K+-ATPase in kidney.Conclusion:SGLT1, GLUT2, GLUT3can be distributed in epithelial and endothelial cells of liver, lung and kidney. The activity of water-glucose cotransporters expression will increase after animal model building, but the content of the proteins will not increase. It may be one of the mechanisms of water and liquid distribution imbalance in model rat of Syndrome of dampness in middle Jiao. Pingwei Power can adjust water metabolism, regulate material and energy metabolism through adjusting expression and content of SGLT1GLUT2, GLUT3and Na+-K+-ATPase in liver, lung and kidney. It will be one of the mechanisms of Pingwei Power function of removing moisture and reconciling spleen and stomach. Pingwei Power’s influence on water-glucose cotransporters is not the same in physiological and pathlogical conditions.
