Evaluation Of Cinepazide Maleate On Treating Acute Cerebral Infarction

Objective: Observation of short term clinical efficacy and safety of cinepazide maleate on treating different TOAST subtypes of acute cerebral infarctionMethods: 80 patients with acute cerebral infarction were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 40 cases each, all patients were given treatment that included microcirculation, platelet aggregation, cerebral protection, regulation of blood sugar and blood pressure, maintaining water and electrolyte balance, as well as symptomatic and supportive treatment. Treatment group were treated with intravenous infusion of 250 ml of glucose solution or saline containing 160 mg of cinepazide maleate, 1 time per day for 10 days. NIHSS scores were given and adverse reactions noted for the two groups and TOAST subtypes of patients before and after treatment.Results: The NIHSS scores improved significantly(P <0.05) for both treatment and control groups of patients after treatment, and the treatment group scores were significantly lower than the control group(P <0.05).The improvement of NIHSS score for different TOAST subtypes of patients were more than the control group. Significant efficiency and overall efficiency of the treatment group were better than the control group also(P <0.05). No serious adverse reactions were observed for either the treatment and control group.Conclusion: Cinepazide Maleate can safely improve treatment of acute neurologicaldeficits from acute cerebral infarction...
